Get these for clear water.
These pads work great. I have two of them along with two of the blue sponges in my 75 and it keeps the water clean. You will have to do filter maintenance more often, but the design of this filter makes that easy. I have this on a 75 gallon tank along with an 18 year old Aqua Clear 110. I keep the Aqua clear on the lowest flow setting and the Tidal at about 50% -60% flow rate. That keeps the water circulating throughout the tank without exhausting my fish.

There are cheaper alternative
I bought this to use in my Tidal 75. I quickly realized just how dirty it got quickly and I could only rinse and reuse for a few times before it must be replaced. A nice thing about using this is that it is precuts to fit the Tidal. If you can use a pair of scissors and donāt mind doing it yourself, you can buy a roll of polishing pad, and cut into shape yourself. In my aquarium, I have the foam filter, 2 layers of polishing pads, and bio-media on top. I cut out several pieces in advanced, and replace them as needed. Itās so much cheaper than buying these.
