A must for home birth
What an extraordinary skill to have for when you are doing home birth. I like that it provides a schedule as a guideline of where you need to be before birth. The book and tracks were a must for my birth

Much cheaper on Amazon than their website.
Exactly what I was hoping for based off their product description on their website. For some reason it's way cheaper to buy on Amazon. $60 cheaper than hypnobabies website. Works for me. It came with everything pictured and all the tracks. I haven't finished the course yet but I'm halfway through and very pleased with it. It's so relaxing.

Worked really well for my sister
Writing this on behalf of my sister, who told me at length about how Hypnobabies made a world of difference between her first and second birthing experiences. She is the most drama- and anxiety-prone of us 4 sisters (said in love!) so if Hypnobabies can help her keep calm and carry on, I believe in it! Especially because during her second birth experience—the one made great by Hypnobabies—the L&D ward was full, she was just alone in some curtained-off space and her husband was in the ER with an infection. She specified to me that it is HypnoBABIES, not just a random Hypnobirthing course, that has all of the various meditation tracks for different situations (e.g. when you need a medical intervention you weren’t planning on). My other sister used only the affirmations and felt that it was nice but not life-changing, so when my time comes I plan to use the full course as recommended.

In the end, worth the time... in the end.
The program worked, but I found myself really frustrated over a few things. First, the book itself was a bit unweildy, had some typos, and didn't have an index. Also, the information was separated between the actual book and supporting materials (again, with no index or glossary), so if you want to reference back to something, you'd better put a sticky note there. Some of the recommendations made in the book (e.g. the home remedies for pregnancy discomforts) are not science-based, which also lost me some credibility. I did research some things on my own, being very careful to use my bubble of peace and replace certain words with HypnoBabies vocabulary in my head as I read. I know that's frowned upon when youre trying to train yourself for hypnosis, but I felt like I had to in order to fully trust the rest of the material. Most things were accurate. Also, unless you're already 100% committed and trust the progtam right off the bat, the Facebook support group is a joke. I was frustrated with how censored the community was, and felt like I couldn't share my honest thoughts, factual medical research updates, or challenging questions. I'll admit it was affirming to be able to read so many sweet birth stories. The censorship was well-intentioned (probably), but just wasn't my vibe. All in all, I'm completely committed to the self-hypnosis side of the program. I felt like it was really useful, well-done, and most importantly, worked for me. The supporting materials could be better. If you have time to spare, I'd say to wait for the next edition, to give them time to put an index together and updare some of the medical info.

No help when it came time to have baby
Meditation tracks can be relaxing but it did not teach medical grade hypnoanesthesia or it would be able to be applied to other things besides birth time. Included chapters on nutrition and things not related to hypnobirthing that I found to be a waste of time. Did nothing to help get through waves/contractions.
