GREAT JACKET FOR SUMMER RIDING
Live in Arizona and new to riding. Wanted a protective jacket with layers that was "Mesh style" for airflow living in Phoenix. With the liner in windproof, with the liner removed breathes awesome. Super cool on SUNNY days with temps 90-115*. BRIGHT BRIGHT for visibility. POCKETS galore. Right on the outside chest area you have two pockets large enough to put your smartphone and wallet. One side pocket has a "lanyard" that I clip my garage door opener remote to in the event I forget to zip up the pocket. AND even more pockets inside ! Good armor and super comfy and sleek looking. Sizing was spot on. I ordered a large and I am 6'1" 220# and its perfect with room to tighten or loosen as needed. GREAT BUY and I bought the red one also, exact same quality.

cool mesh
I don't have a lot to compare this to; I have an armored denim shirt, and I have tried on a few other mesh jackets. The denim jacket is pretty comfortable, but is rather wind-opaque. Mesh jackets I have tried feel strange or cost too much, or both. So this arrived today and I tried it on and decided to keep it -- and then I went for a ride, which lasted about 20 miles. This has much more air flow that then denim shirt -- I took the liner out, of course. With the liner, the chest is a bit snug, but not restrictive (I am 5'8", 170, with a 40" chest). I intend to use this mostly without the liner, and it fits just about right. There is a mesh liner inside that helps it feel comfy if you wear short sleeves. And there are plenty of pocket options; a couple of them seem to be in the way of air movement, but I don't think it mattered that much. I felt pretty good in 80+ degree sunny weather. Now, most of the people where I live (Illinois) wear shorts and t-shirts when they ride; a few wear a helmet. But I am a nurse, so I always wear a helmet and a jacket. I may not look as laid back, but I am protected. And I got the high vis color for a little extra visibility. If you are an ATGAT kind of person, this is a reasonably priced option, and I will be putting it to good use.

Great Jacket for the money, Nylon pockets reduce some airflow, liner is textile, not waterproof.
Bought this Viking Warlock for my wife, after buying a Joe Rocket for myself.I knew she might not wear it, so I wanted to save the money difference.Bought her the Large, she is 5'10", 185#, "womanly" ;) on the bottom half. (I hope she never sees this review, or I'll be single).ProsComfortable, sized about right, could have been a little tighter...priced right, lots of pockets.Decent+ as to airflow.ConsBreast padding (shaped like a manly 6-pack) looks odd to me, does not bother her.Pockets, though handy, reduce the amount of air flow.Overall quality does not meet Joe Rocket's.Mesh looks more cloth-y, where Joe's looks coated with something slick.Zippers not as beefy and smooth.Liner is cloth, not windbreaker type like Joe, matter of preference, I like the water resistant windbreaker. For the money, the Viking is a great jacket, not disappointed.

Ventilation and Visibility
Without question, for the money, this is best "Hi Viz Mesh" jacket out there. The sizing was as expected, I'm 6' 290lbs with broad shoulders, and the XXXL fit like a glove. With the liner out the mesh keeps you cool, even stopped at a light I could feel a light breeze coming through. You'll definitely be seen in the day time with the Hi Viz panels, and the piping in the seams is very good for night time riding.I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a jacket with visibility, comfort, and a moderate amount of protection on a budget.

The high-viz on this jacket is very bright and noticeable. Lots of pockets for phone, electronics, keys etc. full zip out liner is nice, however my liner had a tear in the seam of the armpit from the factory. With the liner out of the jacket it still runs pretty warm even with it being mesh. I’d say it’s better suited to be a early spring late fall jacket where you still want some airflow but not to be too cold. Haven’t had a chance to test the jacket with the liner in but it seems to be warm. The jacket runs kind of big. I’m used to the ‘european’ jacket fitment where they fit tighter. There is plenty of extra room in the torso area, with the liner in it snugs it up especially in the arms. It was definitely snug in the shoulder area when sitting on the bike. There was also some Velcro in the neck area that keeps rubbing and that isn’t very comfortable. Overall it’s a decent jacket, it can be improved however.

Use the sizing chart, and you'll get the right fit. Awesome jacket, awesome deal.
I really like this Jacket. It fits perfect. I am 5'8" 130 lbs,and I bought a small. It fits perfect. I was concerned about what size to get,so I looked at all the comments. Still didn't find any feedback on someone my size. I used the sizing chart, and measured to the chart recommendations. I'm glad I went small instead of medium. It looks great, and has all the options that is described. I went to numerous motorcycle dealers to look at their apparel section. Nothing compares to the quality, and nothing compares to the price, and I shopped around. This Jacket is truly a great deal. The speed of the shipping was fast. I received the jacket before the expected date too.
