I have plantar fasciitus and find they are comfortable with a good instep support. My podiatrist said that they were the best ones she had seen for that condition

My foot slipped sideways - not enough support to keep foot in correct position for plantar faciitis

After pregnancy I developed horrible heel pain, so bad I couldn’t walk without saying “ahhhhh!!!” with a couple profanities following. Needless to say, I’m glad I found these slippers. From the day I got them, I put them on and haven’t taken them off when in the house. The arch support is great, the sole is cushiony and soft. The material is plush and feels great on my feet. My feet usually hurt every time I sit down and get back up. Those first 10-15 steps here torture. Since wearing these, my feet haven’t felt the pain as intensely as they did before, and it’s getting better and better with each passing day. I think the added support and cushion is giving my feet some much needed TLC. Even though my feet are happy, there are a few downsides. 1) sizing is really weirdly off. I wear a 7.5, and didn’t see that size was offered, so I ordered the next size up, an 8. When I got them, they fit like a 7. My heel was hanging off the back. I returned those and ordered an 8.5. These fit perfect, so for me, I had to size up a full size. I’ve never had to size up that much before. 2) I can see that the cloth on the foot bed is already starting to get matted (it’s been less than a week). But I saw reviews where people said they have thrown these in the wash so I’ll see if that will fix it and bring it back to life. 3) the foot strap is secure, but it feels to have already loosened up, which is not a deal breaker since there is Velcro, but concerning as to whether the strap and Velcro will hold up in the months ahead. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase.

Edited to add: The below review was posted the day I got them. And while I still like them, I don’t think they’ll be half as durable as Vionic. It’s only been a week and I can already feel that the support has crumbled a lot in all the weight bearing areas and although that’s somewhat beneficial to my high arches, the compressed areas make the slipper not as comfortable to walk/stand in. I mostly wear slippers all day and walk about 1200-1500 steps a day in them. They still look new and the fabric/stitching is perfect but they feel like I should think about buying a replacement pair soon. I don’t think I’ll buy another pair when that time comes. These are beyond amazing!! They are softer and more comfortable than my fuzzy throw blanket!! I have a chronic illness so often experience foot pain. Until now Vionic were the only shoes and slippers I could wear without having to replace the insole with orthopedic inserts (even my sneakers need the expensive inserts). I can’t afford to buy new Vionic slippers every six months (they usually start looking bad at the 4 month mark) but I was reluctant to spend $40 on a gamble. But since there was a Prime backed return policy, I bought it and it seems like I won the gamble! I received them today and I felt like the chronically ill, home bound version of Cinderella when I slipped into them for the first time! You might think that they are expensive for a “slipper“ but if you’re looking for an orthopedic pain reliever, they might seem super affordable! Hopefully they are as durable as the video shows and can last longer than my usual pair. It would be nice to have a more affordable alternative to my usual house slippers.

I was determined when I turned 40 to not be one of those complainers who said their body started falling apart. I would be graceful, grateful and the same happy woman, well, just a bit smarter as I now have so many lessons under my belt. Arg!!!! Not quite, it hasn't been as graceful as I had hoped. I developed metatarsalgia soon after my birthday. My foot was so swollen I could hardly walk for weeks. My Dr. Said my arches are hyper flexible and after all the wear and tear the only solution would be to fuse a bone or I could simply wear a good house shoe and put inserts in all of my shoes. The latter helped. I found vionic slippers and they worked wonderfully but then after a few years a minor nail fungus that I had gotten at the pool that never bothered me much as I could just buff it off and then paint my nails turned into a huge situation. I'm guessing because my feet were always closed up. My toe became swollen and the fungal infection turned into a bacterial infection. My Dr. Had to take the toe nail off and put me on medicine for a year!!!! Holly cow!!! I am so thankful for these great slippers. The price is much better than what I had been paying. They are very comfortable and provide a arch support that I HAVE to have. The fabric is very soft and warm, I love that the straps are adjustable and the sole is durable. They wash up really well and dry out quickly and my toes can breathe! Even in the winter I can put socks on but they will not be totally closed up. I can slip them on and off very easily and I like how many colors and patterns you can choose from. They might not be the cutest things in the world but with so many needs being checked they are wonderful!
