Fun learner drone
This is my first drone so I can’t compare directly to other models. I did a lot of research and finally landed on this one because I wanted decently high quality video and pictures. But I also wanted FPV (First person view) without having to use an app. I was also looking for something that wasn’t too expensive and had spare parts available. I figured I would crash it a few times. And I was right. The good news is that most of the parts are available but they take a month to get. I would suggest ordering spare props right away. It does come with 4 but they are fragile. My impressions.First it’s fun to fly and learn. The camera does a good job of recording the flight, though if you don’t explicitly stop the video the file will be corrupted. It’s sort of expected but also something that could be easily fixed from a device perspective. The drone is fast and responsive, which makes it hard to control. If you get it going in one direction, it’s a little hard to change directions. It flies heavy. Slow to climb and fast to fall. The lack of Hover mode is makes it a challenge to keep working the throttle to maintain altitude. This by biggest beef with the drone. I spend all my time trying to get the right height. Which indoors. It’s tough, I have crashed into a lot of chairs walls etc learning to fly. Flying outside is a lot more fun but harder since the range is very limited, until you do the antenna mod. By default, the antenna is coiled up under the control board. If you pull the antenna out the bottom of the drone range is a lot better. 100 feet or so vs about 30. I would probably pay a little more to get something with hover mode but for the money I’m happy with it as a learning drone. One thing. The charger died after a few days. It’s a lipo battery and I have an RC lipo balance charger already so I made an adapter so I could charge it with my RC charger. Which is actually nice since it charges much faster. 30 min vs 90.Pro’sGood quality video. Parts are available. Fun to fly. Cool controller that is easy to use. No app needed to see screen.Con’sNo hover. Headless mode is confusing at times. Range without doing the antenna mod. Charger broke in a few days. Trim settings are not remembered after turning it off.

pretty cool
Ok quadcopter. Gonna get more battery's but I can't find props for it. I already broke one on its first crash and I barely hit the wall. The receiver feels like an Xbox controller with a rubber grippy texture which I like. Screen had good visibility outside. Just wish the props were stronger.

It is great fun but be prepared to buy extras
It is great fun but be prepared to buy extras. I had to buy a new battery because the one in the drone doesn't last long. The camera doesn't record well either. Fun to play with the grandson though. My son-in-law had to take it off the roof after they played with it. Funny sight!

Video in flight was pretty good thats about it
Video in flight was pretty good thats about it. after about 25 feet up or out it would drop out from the remote and fall to the ground. i tried pulling antennas out and still no improvement, fpv came through but flight control distance is very very pour. not worth it.

Dead On Arrival
Unit came with a small charge so able to power up for 30 seconds to make sure everything worked. Tried several times to charge the battery for the drone and it would not charge. Returned for refund. Sold through a 3rd party so Amazon cannot replace.

Lightweight drone with controller and monitor
I purchased the Eachine drine for my husband who has wanted one for a long time. The price is reasonable for the items you get. The controller is great the drine is lightweight. Please be sure to have 4 AAA batteries and a micro SD card for the camera, before testing it out.My husband read the manual, and the kit we received was mussing a charging cable for the drone. We did experience issues with charging the drone and testing out. This issue could be because the kit did not have the cable to correctly charge the drone. The Eachine Drone would be great if you are learning to use a drone, please be sure to read the manual. Charging is vitual, 70 minutes of charging will yield 8 to 10 minutes of flight time. I wish I had video, unfortunately our drone was not functional. The drone design is sleek and compact.I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
