This item arrived safe and well packaged. This is a fab kitchen blow torch! This is very well made, and accurately built from sturdy metal. This is easy to fill with any little can of butane, which is easily available! Once filled, the torch lights at the click of the trigger and produces a lovely strong, hot flame! This can be held on with the flick of a switch so you don't need to keep holding the trigger. This is incredibly useful for browning, crisping, cooking, melting etc. It can caramelise sweets, melt marshmallow, set meringue etc. I highly recommend this product.

I use this for everything...in the kitchen, in the craft room, for my acrylic pouring even lighting my grill. I paid more for a larger torch head, no tank, and the flame adjusts until you move the thing. Then it flashes full on and I have scorched several things. Not happy at all, so I ordered this smaller torch. I will be ordering another so I can have one for art and one for culinary use. The flame is controllable, always lights unless fuel is low. Like that dependability so I don't erroneously try to fill the tank because of misfiring. Love the lock feature. On a regular lighter the lock is sometimes difficult to use. This is locked very easily. One of the features in the description is that when pushing "on" button flame stays on as long as the button is pushed. Turns off when depressed. My other torch had to be turned off manually. Not convenient at all. This is comfortable in my hand, might be small for a person with larger hands, but perfect for my average sized. If one should get this torch and it not perform well, i would say you got a lemon. I have been using this torch daily and not one fail so far. Love this little thing.
