Best Pet Door Ever
BEST INVESTMENT EVER. It's simple to put in, except that I had no experience knocking holes in my wall. So after diamond blade after diamond blade, chisels and saws, I finally went for the hammer got the thing installed. It keeps the cold out and heat out, or in, depending on season. The dogs fly through it like it isn't even there. One loves to sit through it, so I get to see his butt all the time when he's checking out what is happening outside. You won't regret the purchase, just make sure you are comfortable with the install or have someone who is competent do it with you or for you. I'm sure it would have went faster if I had done the same. Worth every dime.

Great concept, but so much work to set it up and train the dog. Not sure it worth the high price.
Nice concept and materials, mediocre install instructions. The template worked well for cutting the hole in the wall. The video guide on site suggests installing horizontal joists above/below the door frame to support the drywall, but then it misses the point that it may interfere with spring and lock mechanisms of the door. OK - some wood chisel work and i have those areas cleared.Although the door sits perfect, something still isn't right. Once I fasten it to the wall, the doors stop closing. Another half hour of troubleshooting and we figure you must have at least half-inch clearance on each side and keep frame shape perfectly square at fastening or the springs won't close the doors.Putting outside and inside tunnel parts didn't work well. There were no instructions on this part, but i figured it. These were too long for outside wall thickness of my home. Some metal cutting - no problem.Overall the installation took a little over 4 hours (1 person). How to use dog training brackets was another unsubscribed procedure we had to figure out. Turns out it only helps holding the doors partially open.My dog still can't overcome opening both doors with his head. I have to keep one half open. He refuses using his head as door opener. When both doors are closed, he just pushes each door with a paw and expects it to stay open for at least a few seconds. And for desert, with everything sitting correctly, something is blocking the door lock to operate correctly. Need to open it up again to see what the problem now.

Total Waste
I bought this door because I wanted better insulation and energy efficiency in the winter. This is not as tight as I really thought it would be. It was amazingly difficuct to install, the instructions are crap, and pieces were missing that I had to contact the manufacturer to get. It is one set of double paned doors, and you have to put the littls strips yourself in to fill in the gaps on the edges, which was not hard, but no mater how I did it, there are still a few places with air gaps. This door is aluminum, which also means it sweats. See the photo. A lot of time the sweat freezes. My house is at normal humidity. I never had this issue with a plastic pet door. Also, no matter what I do I cannot get my dog to use this door on her own. She is a 10 pound ShihTzu. She used a PetSafe door for YEARS and knows how to use a dog door but all she can do is go up to the door and scratch at it and cannot get through it. The door is much heavier than her previous one for her, and I should have just returned it instead of listening to customer service. What a total waste of money. I do not recommend at all. Sorry I couldnt get one of the photos to turn to the proper orientation.

Drafty and creates condensation
I was thrilled to get this dog door to replace our cheaper flap door. My husband works in construction and spent several days trying to install this the best way. I am not impressed. It is very drafty and cold. There are a lot of gaps and even a couple of sharp edges. The worst thing is that there has been so much condensation that there is a constant puddle on the floor. It's December and I want the door covered because it's so drafty. The cover takes forever to put on and off because you have to screw it on. I feel like we have a window open in the house. Our house has an open floor plan, so there is no way to escape the cold from this dog door. We were much better off with our old plastic dog door with a snap on cover. And even with the cover there is moisture. We called the company to see if they had any solutions and their only solution was to put a space heater by the dog door!

less draft, very quiet
Seals tight and looks classy, plus its in an out of the way bedroom. Our older dog does not like it, but the cat and the little dog figured it out. Being away from previous door locations seemed to upset them a little.

Awesome product. Well built.
Difficult to install, but totally worth it. It is a great device and looks great in the wall.

Now I have to see if he can get the contractor come back to fix it and he didn't like it the first time
It started with the installation. I had a contractor install it and it did not go smoothly. Now the door on one side stays open all the time, the spring seems to have broken. Kinda defeats the purpose of the expensive energy efficient dog door. It's only been 5 month since it was installed. Now I have to see if he can get the contractor come back to fix it and he didn't like it the first time. Very expensive all around!

an excellent product. I live in a cold climate (Winnipeg) ...
Overall, an excellent product. I live in a cold climate (Winnipeg) so it's been very helpful. Two minor quibbles: (1) the seal around the lexan doors is good in most places but has some significant gaps here and there that are very difficult to fill. The area inside the house around the door (2m) has a strong and cold draft. And (2) The lack of insulation on the inside means that when it's cold outside (say, below -20C), the inside of the door becomes caked in frost... sometimes it's so thick that it can obstruct the door's motion.
