Excellent Acrylic Resin Magnifying Lenses With Bright LED Lights in Handle
This SEEMAS LIGHTED HANDHELD 3-IN-1 MAGNIFIER SET delivers excellent value for the price (about $25 on Amazon). The 3X, 10X, and 16X lenses are easily interchanged for use with the lighted handle, and of course they can be used without the handle if you don't need the light.I needed a lighted magnifier with really strong magnification to be able to clean wax from my husband's tiny, delicate hearing aids. The 16X lens, with the lighted handle, is perfect for the task. I had to learn to hold the glass really close to the hearing aid, though, to keep the lens from flipping the image upside down. (If you Google for "why do magnifying glasses flip images", you will find many easy-to-understand explanations of the science involved.)The LED lights in the handle are very bright, and I love them. They are powered by three AAA batteries (not included). The lenses seem to magnify with little distortion. The lenses are made of acrylic resin, so they are less heavy than glass lenses, and not easy to break.

These lit magnifiers are an excellent choice for around the home use. Admittedly they would be too bulky to put in your pocket and tote around with you, but for my uses: reading fine print, checking condition and grading of coins, inspecting other collectibles, locating splinters (ouch) .... I like that they use common batteries available almost anywhere and changing the magnifying heads or loading the batteries is extremely easy. The LED's are quite bright and do an excellent job of illuminating whatever I'm viewing. One of my favorite likes is the price because I believe I got a lot for the money spent.

These are great and finally one that actually points the light toward the middle of the glass !! Geez is that so freekin hard to do ??? The 3x is the best quality with no distortion all the way across the glass even when taken back a ways. The other 2 are great also but do distort around edges if you pull back very far. Those are to be used close up.

severe macular degeneration
I bought this handheld magnifier set for my 89 year old mother , who has severe macular degeneration. The 16X magnification is the only one that she can use. She wants to order more of these sets for different areas of her home and her purse.

Cheap, Poor Quality
I bought this Magnifier set because of the ratings. I was disappointed when I received them. They're not worth the price that I paid for them. At most, they are worth less than $10. They are cheap quality. They also don't magnify according their specs and advertisement. How can folks not see that? Have we lost an understanding of what quality means?
