Shame on you Amazon. And buyers beware! "Rags" is exactly the term for this so-called study guide and is clearly nothing but a scam for a quick buck! I had hoped to use this (and buy several more) to start a study group with Este's book and was horrified to find that there was absolutely no substance or insight and it is certainly NOT a study guide -- just a regurgitation (and an extraordinarily shallow one) of what Este's covered in depth, clarity, and eloquence. I doubt that the person who wrote this "guide" even read the book since s/he repeatedly creates, even makes up, his own interpretations of what Este's wrote. It is moronic, written with the insight and language of a 5th grader complete with typos - distorting Este's work to a point that if anyone should have the misfortune to read this rag before reading the book they would be disinclined to read the book! It is an insult to Este's and her powerful and painstakingly researched work and I am furious about having been duped into spending $16 (incl. S&H) for this trash. And since I only just got to reading it and it is past the time I can return it -- that money is gone - into the hands of these hucksters.

This is very short and is more of a Cliffs Notes sort of thing. As a purported "study guide", I thought there would be lists of questions, discussion points for the reader or group of readers to discuss, to delve deeper into the meaning of the stories in their own lives, and this book does not supply that. As such, I I feel the title "Study Guide"is a complete misnomer. I do give it more than one star because it does give a fairly succinct review of each chapter. Disappointing. When I had read this book in the past (2004), I did exactly that in the notes that I took.

School Requirement.

This is more of a 2 page essay of each story than a study guide.

IT WAY MORE LIKE A "CLIFF NOTES" THAN A STUDY GUIDE/WORKBOOK. DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE LOOKED CLOSER AT THE DETAILS.

High school level or less...went straight in the trash.

This book is deceptively advertised as a STUDY GUIDE where in reality it doesn't help one of better understand the original book (brilliant as it was!) at all. It doesn't adapt the original so someone can make it their own, which is the meaning of a STUDY GUIDE. It is useless and I'm very sorry I bought it. A waste of money. Just read the original book...

I had this book years ago and lent it to someone and never got it back. It is a fascinating collections of mental and neurological illnesses. I have told so many people about it I thought I should buy another copy.
