Great product for the price! Arrived in a plastic zip lock bag without any instructions but easy to assemble. Mount has a very strong suction when attached to a flat surface. Very happy with the mount so far.

Great mount for turning your GoPro into a hi-def dashcam!
I have a GoPro clone that I normally use with a hand-held mount. I've used it as a hi-def video camera to shoot waterfalls, outdoor scenery, snorkeling and other vacation films. However, during the work week, I usually have a couple of long car trips I have to take on the expressway and I like the idea of being able to use a dash cam on those trips so that, in the event of an accident or other incident, it won't be my word against the other driver's. In the past, I've used a low-definition dash cam for that, but I decided it would be nice to be able to use my GoPro clone as a high definition dash cam, as well, so I bought this mount.The mount is made of a very strong and durable polymer and the tolerances for the bolts, slots and tabs are as close and secure as any other GoPro mount or accessory I've ever used. As other reviewers have noted, however, the mount comes completely disassembled, with absolutely no instructions or pictures of any kind to tell you how the various pieces fit together. Since there are at least a couple of ways in which the mount can be assembled (with the extension arm and without), it would have been nice to have had some sort of instructions or pictures included.However, never fear. The pictures on the Amazon website for this product give you all the information you need to assemble the mount, both with and without the extension arm. Once assembled, you're left with a very solid mount. The next question is, does it work?It does, indeed. The suction cup on the bottom of the mount is very strong. I tried it out on a window pane in my house and found that the mount fit so securely that you would have broken the glass before you would be able to wrench the mount off by force. Of course, once you flip the suction lever to relieve the vacuum, then all you have to do is pull on the little rubber tab at the bottom of the mount, and the mount will come right off. In any event, it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well.In trying it out, I also found a way to use the mount in lieu of a tripod. By adjusting the extension arm on the mount, you can easily balance the camera directly over the top of the suction cup. Then you can set the suction cup down on any flat and level surface (even something rough, like a wood surface that won't permit a vacuum seal), point the camera in the right direction, turn it on and start filming. I know that that's not it's intended use, but it's nice to know you have that option.I give this mount my highest recommendation.I received this mount at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Not the same as the picture. Actual product is very different from the picture!
This suction cup mount is great for any gopro since it uses the standard gopro mounting system. The mount comes with all the hardware you need and even some spare arms to get the right angle and length for your gopro. There are many other action cams out there that use the same gopro mount so this should work with those cameras as well.I have two negative points about this mount however. 1. The item does not match the pictures in the listing for this item. I received a product that is similar but not exactly the same. I think this is deceiving by the seller to have pictures for something else in the listing. The mount in the picture features larger knobs for the hinges, a larger/flatter suction cup backing, and also has a pump for the suction cup. The one that is actually sent is nothing like this. I almost think they just copied the pictures from the gopro website.2. I had to sand and file the mount in order to get my gopro to fit. The hinge wasn't finished properly during manufacturing so I had to file down the plastic that was over filler during injection molding. This was a huge negative because I packed this item to use but I couldn't use it until I got home and was able to file down the unfinished sections.I have included pictures of the two issues. Compare my pictures to the one in the listing and you can tell they are not the same product. The picture in the listing shows a mount that is similar to the official gopro mount but I did not receive one like this. Hopefully the seller updates the pictures.The other pictures will be of the unfinished plastic parts that prevent use of the product.
