Live Edge Solid White Oak Table featuring Industrial Steel Legs Completely unique Solid White Oak slab has beautiful live edges, insect holes, dark lines, & knots throughout. Clear Satin Poly finish protects the natural beauty of the wood. This particular White Oak Slab is a chunk of an Ancient Oak Tree which stood in the front yard of the family farm for generations, and, unfortunately became diseased and had to come down. We saved several lengths and had them cut into slabs after sitting for several years, giving this wood awesome character! The slabs have been properly seasoned and feature some cracking/holes that do not in any way disturb the durability of the material. A truly stunning set. The tabletop and benches come from neighboring tree slabs. We hand select logs for our projects and have them milled locally. Most of our logs come from trees off of our own farm that have died or are dying. We believe that by hand-selecting the logs to be milled off of our own farm, we are not only helping the other trees in the forest to have more space to grow, but also keeping the dead or dying trees from potentially contaminating those around them.
