" Allegro" is one of five subjects comprising the suite titled "Mouvements" by Boulanger. The artist often employed music and dance in her repertoire of subjects for her compositions. One of her daughter was a ballerina at the Paris Opera and Boulanger, herself, was an accomplished pianist. The fascination with the lyrical nature of dance is well explored in this collection of subjects.
