Enables HSS on Canon Rebel T5i (aka 700D)
Perfect for off camera High Speed Sync with my Canon Rebel T5i. It allows me to photograph people with the shutter speed up way faster than the 1/200th second exposure limit of the built-in flash. At 1/1000th the bright Texas mid-afternoon sky is not overexposed and the HSS flash illuminates the person so they are not underexposed. No more waiting until the "golden hour" to take outdoor portraits.I am glad that I paid the extra $$ for this TT685 over the Godox TT600 because the former also has TTL. I passed on the TT806II which has the same features as the TT685 except it also has a Lithium Ion battery. The TT806II battery will eventually wear out and may be difficult to replace. I opted for the TT685 together with some rechargeable batteries because I figured that would be more "future proof" and it was also a bit cheaper. You'll need 4 AAs for the flash and 2 AAs for the transmitter. So I ordered from Amazon the 4-pack of Panasonic Eneloop AAs that includes a charger and an 8-pack of AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries. This gives me 12 AA batteries which is enough to have back ups for my back ups!PS: I haven't tried it yet but there is supposedly a new firmware update that you can download from the Godox website that will allow the Canon, Nikon, and Sony versions of these flashes to work together.

Amazingly sturdy for the money
Amazingly sturdy for the money. It's heavier than my camera I think. I believe it's the same flash as Flashpoint R2 system. And the case is strong and sturdy. It's not a flimsy case. I was surprised. The case isn't big. It's about the size of two flashes inside so it holds the flash, accessories, trigger and extra batteries perfectly. It's the same or better price than most sell it without the extras. Works great with my Canon T6. I have another cheap flash and bought a receiver for it. I run this with ettl or manual and my other flash as manual with no issues. Tons of channels to get away from any wifi interference. The buttons and menus on the flash are way easier to use than I expected. If I need another flash it will be this one!

This is my first flash and is easy to use. Works really good. I used it for inside and outdoor shootings with a small softbox and the pictures turn out fine. Im really happy with this product.

Very nice product, but not compatible with Canon EOS 80D !
I would have scored it 5 stars in terms of quality and feel of use. Interesting kit as a whole.But I had to return it because it could not trigger in off-camera mode with my Canon 80D. It is important to know that Godox had changed its firmware some time in 2017 to make it work with Canon EOS 80D, but version sold by Fomito here is not compatible (at least the unit I had). Please note they were not claiming it was working either, since 80D was not mentioned. I just assumed that if it were working with other Canon models, this would be fine... but it is not the case. Pay attention at what models Fomito claims their flash is compatible with :)
