Bluestone Sunshields Full Lux

A sun shield that really does give UV protection. I live in the desert so obviously I don’t leave it in the car, but I do wear it while driving. Working on the drivers side sun damage on my face.

It is a nice face shield and others can see your face just like when you wear sunglasses. However, I got the full face in black and I can still feel my face hot when driving.I also got a mini one in pink. It is reflective and the areas covered are cool to the touch and uncover areas are hot to the touch.I would prefer to have the black one work just as the pink one. So. I will return them and get the full face one in pink.

I use it primarily when I am driving so it gives me sun protection without having to wear sunglasses (which only protect the eyes).

I'm a pretty small woman and this only adjusts so far. It shade from the sun really well but the adjustment I put as far as it will go and it gave me a horrible headache while wearing it. If I do where it I just don't clasp the back but then there is this bit of fabric that flaps around in the back that is annoying. Overall works ok.

This is an otherwise comfortable and sturdy visor. However, it does not do what it is supposed to -- filter UV rays. I tested it with my UV flashlight and as you can see in the first image, there is a visible security strip on the $20 bill that is only visible under UV light. Second picture is with my sunglasses under the flashlight, there is no visible security strip. This indicates the lens is filtering the UV light pretty well.While, shining the UV light through the sunshield, the security strip is still visible which means UV light is still getting through. Lastly, I also tested it out on my Quantadose UV testing card and it showed the same thing -- that moderate to high levels of UV is still getting through.I hate to leave bad reviews but this product is not worth the cost!

I really wanted this to be the solution to my sunscreen allergy and it might have been but there is a gap on the top that lets sunlight in and I got sunburned right where the sun touches under it. If you get this, stand under your overhead light and you can see exactly where the sun touches your skin. I guess this design flaw escaped their product testing. I would wear a hat but I don't have any that will fit over the bulky headband. Fix the design flaw and I'll try it again!
