We reviewed this book as a class, we thought that it was sad and emotional but heart-warming. Brilliant Barnabus is cute but courageous and very strong.We loved this book and recommend it to all ages and anyone who enjoys a lovely story!From Class 4

My 7 year grandson’s favourite book. I’ve read it at bedtime so many times. We’ve also bought other Fan brothers books. The first one we read was Night Gardener, first borrowed from the library. Their illustrations are wonderful.

Needed a picture book to use in class as an alternative story. Saw this recommended on booksfortopics and wanted to see what it was like.Well… what a captivating story of difference and acceptance. Lovely way to teach children to respect each other without using people as the narrative. Can’t wait to use this next year as a started book

Such a lovely gentle book about accepting the weirdness in everyone and finding freedom to be yourself. Illustrations are wonderful and very rich. Have bought it for gifts.
