The evolution is great for learning how to play basketball from ages 4 ...
Wilson Evolution Indoor BasketballWilson’s indoor basketball is one of a kind made for anyone who loves to playbasketball. Wilson basketballs come in 3 different sizes to compensate for different age groups. It also comes in three different colors ranging from black, silver and the original color of tan. The evolution is great for learning how to play basketball from ages 4 to 100. You do not have to be an everyday player to buy this ball, but a person who goes to the gym on occasion. There are no rules when it comes to this ball. Wilson’s evolution ball on amazon is sold for 30% cheaper then buying the ball in stores. Though the ball sales for 49.99 and many might believe that is expensive it is worth every penny. Wilson evolution ball comes with pebble grip to insure you have the best grip possible, and thermal rubber approved by the NFHS to certify the authenticity. The evolution also comes with many other attributes such as Cushion Core Technology features low-density sponge and butyl rubber, 3-ply nylon thread winding; air tight butyl rubber valve, and 3-ply nylon thread winding. In other words the evolution will not let you down. Its very durable and you will not need to purchase a ball for a minimum of two years and that’s if you play everyday for hours. To show you how great this product really is there has been over 600 customer reviews claiming the greatness of this ball and it on average has gotten 4.5 stars out of 5. It does not get much better then that. The only question that I have now is why have you not gotten yourself one yet. Amazon can have it shipped directly to your house by tomorrow so that you can be ready to play wherever and whenever you would like.

Great Ball
The ball is great. The best ball the I've ever used. I can say without a doubt, it's far superior to the Evolution. This ball absorbs moisture. That means it gets grippier, not slippier, as the game progress. One of my FAVORITE moves is the "Rajon Rondon one hand drive and lay up move", I like to drive to my right, using ONLY MY RIGHT hand to dribble the ball and ONLY MY RIGHT hand to pick the up the ball and shoot a layup, all with the right hand only. You see, because of the slick nature of the Evolution, this move is very difficult to execute, but not with the Solution. This ball has amazing grip ball control..Only problem is that mine came with defects. I feel, no, I know, that a ball that you pay $50+ should come perfectly contructed. I cannot say how long the ball will last or if it will make a difference, but I can say that what you see in the pictures is unacceptable. I recommend to just pay a little more from a local store like Dicks sporting goods and inspect before buying.

A ball for adults.
Nobody has time for deep channels. I bought an Evolution, TF-1000, Nike HyperElite and this. They're all equally great. This one gives you that extra 'I'm a grownup' feeling. It’s missing the clear outer-coating, so it’s ‘exposed’. It might not feel as leathery as any TF-1000 (or Evolution) broken-in, but there's no time necessary to wear it in, unlike those.Smooth ‘velvet/leather’ is how I’d describe it.A downside might be the color doesn't look like the Evo and it’ll have the shortest lifespan. Having said that, the dribble sounds best (it has a lower thud), and it feels fuzzy while dribbling/shooting.Moisture-absorbing means you have a chance to palm it with your off-hand under good conditions (eg. mid-game layups), but for more grip you need only the HyperElite.Depending on how much you care about other people's opinions - I think this or the classic dark TF-1000 are the safest. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with the Evolution.

Wilson Solution NCAA Composite Basketball
I have been playing basketball for about 20 years, about 10 of them I have been aware of the ball I play with. For most people the TF-1000 is the ball of choice. However, I much prefer the Solution. The Solution has the moisture absorbency feature which mean the ball very rarely has the dreaded wet spot (mine usually happens under my thumb when I go to dunk the ball). Even with large hands, the ball will slip out if it's wet under your thumb. This has yet to happen when playing with a Solution (been playing with one for about 8-10 years). However, I play regularly with a TF-1000 and this happens at least once a session. It will get wet and need to be dried each game. The reason I play with the TF-1000 is because the guys I play with prefer that ball. They are older and resistant to change. One of them actually refuses to play unless we use his TF-1000. Whenever I play at a new place, I bring my ball and it will be the one that we play with.I love the Solution for its tackiness, grip, and moisture absorbency. It makes it very easy to play shots off of the glass and allows you to secure rebounds. I find no issues shooting jumpers but one of the guys I play with says it doesn't roll off his fingers right, or something like that. He suggests it needs to be "broken in." Obviously, I disagree. The one issue with this ball is that it will wear down and lose it's tackiness. I'm on my second personal ball and the first lasted about 1.5-2 years before I felt the need for a new one. A friend of mine waits a little longer, but that's a personal preference.
