I've been using this timer to help with classroom management with my 5th grade class. The timer works fine in stopwatch or count down mode. I haven't taken the time to try to figure out how to set the clock yet. The beeping sound is loud when you press the buttons to set the times and I find that a bit distracting for my uses. The timer is loud when it goes off. I stick this to my whiteboard most of the time but also use it with the stand for floor activities. The magnet on the back is not strong enough and it the timer tends to slide down the whiteboard. The main reason I chose this model is for the larger display. The students are able to see it well enough. Maybe I should have splurged for the big one from lakeshore learning but this is working well enough for now.

Difficult to set time, no alarm clock

I got these as when we moved into our new house the range has a timer, however it is so quiet that its hard to hear over even the exhaust fan. So we have been using the microwave's timer for this purpose.So i decided to go ahead and get a timer, this package is great cause it has two, and there are several times that we are in need of two timers.Pro's:Setting them up is simple (As expected).Large Format numbers, makes it easy to read even at a decent range.Loud, this is much better than my current timer built into the range.Con's:The magnet is utterly useless, it cannot even hold its own weight on any metal surface (Range, Refrigerator, Vent Hood, anything i could find.)Since the magnet is so weak, you have to use the stand, both of mine have an issue with falling over. So i had to be creative and use some double sided tape, and placed it on the range hood, hoping with time the heat does not damage them.So overall, i cannot recommend these if you want them to attach them magnetically.If you want to mount them in other fashion, then they will be fine.***I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Dailymate Digital Kitchen Cooking Timer with Large LCD Display, Big Digits,Loud Sounding Alarm,Easy to Use,Retractable Backstand(Pack of 2)I have a timer that looks exactly like these and I have been happy with it for years. I especially like the fact it uses a AAA battery and does not require “coin style” batteries. These new timers came with a battery which is always awesome! Although the case looks the same, the internal clock part is not the same. The numbers are thinner and not as easy to see. It programs differently but it is pretty easy to program once you know what buttons to push. It has a stand and a magnet but I wish the magnet was stronger. Overall, these are cheap and they will probably do what I need them to do. All I needed was a kitchen timer and this does that job effectively.I received this product at a discount for an honest review. Like you, I rely on reviews to determine whether or not to purchase something. My reviews are unbiased and I do not consider the cost to purchase the item.
