I'm a beginner at making jewelry, and this book is fantastic. She goes step by step with pictures for each step. It's very helpful and informative. She also tells you how long it takes to do a project with very simple projects and a few intermediate projects. She instructs you on 21 projects.She tells you what techniques you'll be learning and lists what materials are needed and also what tools are needed.I absolutely love the ideas and the projects that she teaches you how to make. I'm already thinking of my own ideas and plan to sketch them out. I also take screenshots of jewelry that I like and would like to try to make. I'm also gonna try to find some magazines (Maybe doctor's offices or other places).The pictures are really clear and detailed and arranged perfectly with the instructions. She's also very gentle and encouraging with her words.The world is your oyster in making jewelry, and don't be afraid to try it out and come up with your own ideas. What's the worst that can happen-You wasted an hour of your life? If you don't try, you've missed an opportunity to do something that you might really enjoy doing.I also love that she tells you about starting your own small business at the end of the book because that's what I'm thinking about doing in my future.Overall, this book has everything you need to know for basic knowledge about making jewelry!!Hope this helps!!

It was so I bought the bookCecilia shows how to make some of your own findings such as S-shaped clasps and spiral head pins. Good descriptions of different beads - materials, shape, purpose. As well as strings or wires commonly available. Lots of tips on how to personalise gifts, and what you need to bear in mind when making items for friends and family. Gives difficulty rating and expected time to make each project.Final chapter is on how to sell your jewellery, if that is where you want to go. The book is American written, so are all the resources.
