The use of grill mats is a true paradigm shift. The food grills up easily and allows you to grill vegetables and other items that normally may fall apart into the fire. The mat allows you to expand what you can grill. Although I have not tried it, apparently you can cook breakfast on the grill mat. I also see the use of the grill mat in emergency situations where there is a power outage.My wife and I use lump charcoal and not briquettes as we can cook with the kettle lid with the air holes open and the fire does not go out. We tried cooking with the kettle lid on the grill mats and the food cooked faster and better. If you reuse your lump charcoal that it is remaining, this saves on charcoal.I chose the Gorilla Mat because it claimed to be able to sustain higher temperatures at 650F. My only complaint is clean up which is the clean up of the sticky food left on the mat. I highly recommend this product.

Solid Product
Nice Product! I have used them now three times and they are almost as advertised. The only thing I do not like is that the grill marks are missing and I had hoped they would not be. Other than that, they work great. I took them to a 4th of July barbecue and the host liked them so much I gave them the one I took with me to cook the food I brought. Very easy to clean and they cover an older grill so you don't have to replace the grill top to continue cooking in the great outdoors.

They came rolled up so they don't lay flat.
Before we have had a chance to try them out, they're getting 3 stars because they came rolled up so they don't lay flat. I was expecting a more heavy-duty material. I'll update this review once we've used them to let you know how well they perform on the grill.

Perfect item for my grilling
Perfect item for my grilling. Don't have to waste time cleaning just lay down the mat on top of the grill and start cooking. Results are grill marks on both sides of the steak.

They work good as far as cooking goes
they did not even last a whole season. they have holes in them already. They work good as far as cooking goes. Clean up is very messy also.
