Is it awkward having to raise/lower the whole bench one caster at a time?

I bought these to mobilize my workbench...which is way under the weight capacity of these casters. I tried every trick I could think of to get these to work....but they could handle my 200 lb workbench. The would not keep the bench up. The casters kept folding under themselves no matter what I did to stop it. Bottom line...don't waste your time with these.

Has anyone else experienced that at the 1.5 inch mark their bench won’t completely touch the ground? Used the template too.

Absolute;y the wrong dimension more like 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 inches. I checked i attached the part correctly and re measured the offset and I also used their template. Just tried to put them on and sw the first one was misaligned. fortunately only drilled first set of holes. Also even with predrilled the wood screws broke off when I hand screwed them in or at least tried to. I am suspicious they changed a part

If I mounted these to the inside of the legs on my workbench how much clearance would i need for the casters to be in the retracted position?

From the bottom of the mounting bracket six and seven eighths inches of clearance, a full seven inches to be fully retractable, this allows the pedal bracket to move freely. Add another 1.5 inches from the bottom of the bracket to the floor, per the instructions. I mounted mine on the inside and the panel bracket tends to move up against the support surface with some pressure. The paddle can be hard the get back down to engage the caster.

Can they hold 550 LB per caster or for all 4 together?
