How do you secure the air conditioner to the bracket? What keeps it from falling off?

The value of the bracket is reducing the possibility that the air conditioner tips and drops to the ground, especially during installation. Most air conditioners are designed to be supported by the window sill and the window itself. If installed properly, the air conditioner also rests on the bracket but is not attached to it.

I have no exterior window sill? Where would you mount the bracket inside? On the interior window sill or inside track of window?

If you have no exterior window sill, you would have to drill and mount the bracket on your interior window sill.

Will this bracket work on sliding windows

Yes. I am using it in a sliding window. The directions are pretty bad and it's a pain to install. The directions tell you to measure so it's installed in the middle of the opening but I had to take it out and then reinstall it tight to the wall side of the window frame. There's a lot of guesswork involved in the installation. In the end it works and seems sturdy enough.

Will this bracket work for an air conditioner that slides into a cabinet?
