As an introduction to anyone who wants to know the screamale vibe... just give a listen to Foul Mouth, the opening track of this essential debut full length. This is one of the regular openings to their shows. I've seen them live a couple of times and at one show, this guy was there to see the headliner (they were opening for Ted Leo and the Pharmacists). He asked me what kind of music it is. I said "kind of hard to describe... good. Just listen and judge for yourself" We were front and center with elbows on the stage, they opened with Foul Mouth and the dude's jaw hit his chest, the rest is sreamale history... another die hard fan recruited. All I can say is their mix of punk, raucous guitar, unique vocal artist, outstanding rythym section combined with arty, visual, rebellious lyrics make for a good listen and a potential anthem of your life. Mainstream they are not, musician's all to the core and some of the nicest people to boot.This album makes a great bookend to their latest: Castle Talk.  Castle Talk Catch them now before they get too hot. You can still say you listened to them.. back before they made the big time.

For an album which was created by them themselves before signing to a label, this particular album is more than just impressive. This is the type of band that knows how to combine a decent melody to the music in a very refreshing and original way. The rhythm section drives past its usual reputation for being just cardboard standees, these young men give it their all in every single song. While their songs are very kindred and really good, the overall feel of the music has a very heartfelt vibe that never goes away.

Ce sont peut-être des dents de lait mais elles sont déjà très bien affutées ! J'ai découvert ce groupe en regardant Tracks un soir de désœuvrement.Nous avons là une petite formation de trois musiciens : une chanteuse et aussi guitariste, un bassiste et un batteur, tous trois amis de lycée qui font leurs tournées dans leur mini-van en parcourant le New-Jersey, et qui ont déjà réussi à faire la première partie d'un concert des Black Keys.Cet album mérite vraiment d'être écouté, il retourne aux sources du rock de ce qui fait le souffle à la fois primal et si évolué du punk dans son interprétation post-industrielle de l'existence. Un bon son bien charpenté, mais surtout construit sur des mélodies et avec cette volonté de jouer, et jouer et jouer encore de la musique, cette volonté de s'exprimer et de tout donner en jouant.
