Stoody® 35 CTD 1/4" Dia X 18" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb vac pak and is commonly used for earth-to-metal wear or wear due to abrasion of other particulate material. Electrode is ideal for teeth, screws, tile mixer paddles and crushing equipment. It is a solid core electrode with a heavy extruded coating that comprises of the alloying elements. Electrode bonds easily to carbon, low alloy and manganese steel. Primary applications for include severe abrasion with moderate to heavy impact. Deposits are uniform with a great bead appearance and slag removal. Shielded metal arc welding electrode has a very high compressive strength and it can be used on carbon or austenitic manganese steel components. 2 layer deposits assure full, undiluted welds for high wear resistance. Electrode uses AC or DC welding current and can be applied in stringer or weave beads.
