I wasn't expecting great quality considering the price, but I'm really surprised and satisfied with this cabinet. Fortunately, all the pieces shipped in great condition, no damaged or missing parts. In fact, they provide extra hardware just in case. You do need to be careful when assembling, paying very close attention to the pictures before screwing parts together. Take your time and don't get in a hurry. Also keep in mind this is made from particle board, so you don't want to crank down on the screws. The drawer slides are smooth. I was particularly surprised at how well the bottom drawer, with the extra caster, opens and closes on my carpet! All of the pre-drilled holes were properly aligned and I had no trouble with assembly. Just be forewarned there are about 30 steps in the instructions! If you've assembled stuff like this before it should be a piece of cake, just lots of steps. Oh, and while it didn't state it in the product description on Amazon, the unit comes with two fold-out hooks (one on each side of the cabinet) to hang something. These hooks are pretty small however and I'm not sure what you could use them for, other than a small purse. My only quibble is the drawer bottoms. They are kinda thin and I'm not sure how much weight they could handle. If you plan to put anything heavy, such as power tools, etc. then this might not work for you. But, for the price I guess it's adequate. I knew I would not be storing heavy items.

Let’s start with the few goods. It’s pretty sturdy and had an elegant look plus it’s a nice size. On the other hand, it takes a reallllly long time to assemble even if u use a drill plus the instructions took max brain power to execute. My biggest issue is when I finally made it to the last step the drawers won’t slide in!!! Felt like screaming and crying because I spent half the day carefully assembling this and now the top drawers won’t slide in. It looks exactly like how it should be in the manual!! The design is complicated where the sliding wheels in the drawers have to go on top of one another and click into a very specific position that I have yet to find for both. I wish they used the same sliding mechanism that was done for the bottom drawer. For the middle I got one side in and then the other refuses to click in at the same time so ended up taking it out again. When I finally got the middle in, the top drawer wouldn’t fit. No amount of engineering or physics could’ve prepare me for this cabinet. Honestly think I got a manufacturer defect. At a lost of what to do. This is sooo not worth the frustration and time

You'd think this small file cabinet would be a half hour simply assembly but like other reviews have pointed out it will take 2 solid hours to assemble this. There is NOTHING pre-assembled, nothing. And be careful how much torque you apply to those cam lock things - this is made of particel board and not a highly compressed board, more like medium compressed, and torquing on them too hard will start to negatively affect the particle board around the opening. Same for tightening screws - don't overtighten as you will simply end up with a endlessly turning screw. DON"T use a power drill to set the screws, bad idea. But once assembled the cabinet seems to be sturdy and looks pretty good. I'm not a fan of the no handles but I won't be opening the drawers that often or I would have bought the version with drawer handles. I put the top drawer lock just to fill the hole but it is a pretty pointless addition - the lock isn't going to prevent anyone from opening the drawer. I also think it is priced a tad too high but it seems everything is 25% higher than 2-3 years ago. I can recommend the file cabinet, gave it four stars, due to it being the quality one would expect at this price point.

I had moved over from a standard desk for work over to a adjustable standup desk. With that change I lost my storage space for my files as well as office supplies and needed a place to keep it all organized. After searching Amazon for a few days I found the listing for the DEVAISE 3 Drawer Rolling File Cabinet and made the decision to purchase the file cabinet. The cabinet was shipped quickly, and arrived as expected. The directions were clear as well as all the hardware was labeled out nicely to understand the steps on putting together. It took around a half hour give or take to assemble the cabinet. Once assembled it was solid and does not feel cheap like it will fall apart. The drawers are tight and the wheels lock to ensure it does not move around if you do not want it to. The file drawer has a wheel as well to prevent the drawer from breaking or the cabinet from tipping. The hook on the side works well for hanging up your headset or headphones. The finish of the cabinet is a semi gloss and looks nice as well as matched the wood top of my desk nicely. Overall, I have not found anything with the DEVAISE 3 Drawer Rolling File Cabinet that I do not like or had any issues with the quality of the cabinet. If you like quality, I would highly recommend purchasing this cabinet to use in your office setting or your home office.

I'm a certified buyer of this product and I'm not being paid to praise it. This product earns praise all on it's own. This is an outstanding product. Best thing I've purchased in a long time. It was shipped on time, it was packed with extreme care in packaging that was sturdy with a lot of product protection including heavy cardboard box, plastic corners on both sides on the top and bottom corners, Styrofoam protection sheets and blocks. The instructions were outstanding, easy to follow, identified front and back and top and bottom, all the pieces were there and all the holes were drilled correctly, extra screws and connectors. It has two locking drawers that actually work the first time, a couple extra features I've never seen, two key holders for the two locks and a front wheel to help with the weight of a full file drawer. Excellent!! This manufacturer covered in their instructions for every complaint I've ever had about instructions. I will definitely buy from this supplier and this manufacturer again in the future;

I read the reviews so I expected a lot of pieces, but even my expectations were surprised by the insane amount of pieces to put together. The pain is mainly the amount of screws this requires, and the holes that are predrilled are so shallow (see picture) that you're screwing in 97% of the length of the screw in. Not a big deal until you realize there's 45+ of these to do plus lots of other screws and doodads to figure out. I'd give the instructions a B. Not difficult to figure out but a few confusing places. Pay attention to avoid throwing this thing out the window from pure frustration if you do something wrong... I didn't but if I had, I would've considered it. I did this by myself, took me maybe 3 hours. I started in the evening, and finished it the next morning. Now that it's together, I'm mostly happy with it. I wish I could lock the filing cabinet as opposed to the top drawer. The back of this cabinet disappointed me the most as it's two pieces of cardboard taped together (see picture). The exterior is black and matches but it's easily broken into. The particle board is a medium press, so if you use a drill you'll probably damage it. I'd rather they had used a harder particle board and required a drill. Overall, now that the putting it together is done I'm ok with it but I've learned a lesson: paying for convenience is worth it.

Simple assembly instruction but long. Once the product is assembled together it looks nice and functional.
