liteCam HD (DVD)

fortunately I always create a restore point before installing anything. got the bsod not long after installing this which I haven't had in a few years. had to go through some hoops to get this machine back up and running. but I agree with another reviewer, you are directed to a 3rd party site for installing 'lame' which the litecam installer insists you copy a file into your programs directory, either [program files or program files (x86)]. this was supposedly due to 'license issues'. the quality is less than hoped for. all that said, what this product delivered was not at all like a youtube video I saw. the quality was disappointing. not sure if this program is worth bothering with again and don't know if I will be returning it or not. I will say that if one follows the installation instructions, has hardware that meets all requirements and seemingly has no install problems but then begins to experience computer problems after installation, one should probably suspect the last changes that were made on that computer.

I have used LiteCam for several years and have enjoyed it very much. I have had no problems with it and it does everything I need. I highly recommend it.

Not very user friendly

Don't waste your time and money. We had to return it. When you get to the end of the installation process, you get directed to install some crazy software from crazy websites just so the sound will work. Our anti-virus software wouldn't even allow us to visit the sites they provided links to. If they can't sell a product that works without potentially downloading a virus and/or malware, then they shouldn't be selling it. This was a Christmas gift for my son and he was quite disappointed.

I have been using this product now for a few months and I find it to be very versatile as well as intuitive! I highly recommend it.

Finally a screen recorder that consistently WORKS!I had been trying for months, to find a screen capture program that copied BOTH audio and video,I tested and tested and tested both free and paid softwares. Even the industry gold standard, CamTasia had audio isues.I have multiple computers and have always had issues with the AUDIO component during screen capture.[NOTE: it was NOT an audio driver issue as all other audio worked fine on my 3computers AND all 3 computers had DIFFERENT audio drivers involved.Then I found LiteCam by Innoheim.They have their OWN AUDIO CODEC and viola, my audio capture issues were GONE ![liteCam HD uses its own RSCC - Rsupport Screen Capture Codec].I own licenses for both Snag It and Camtasia, yet both had audio recording issues.I tried various freeware screen capture program, still experienced audio issues.As soon as I tried LiteCam, I knew my search was over.With LiteCam I consistently was able to capture both the audio and video streaming components of all onscreen video I was watching and recording.I had gotten my licenses during a holiday sale, so I bought enough for all of my computers.PROs:- audio works first time, every time. I assume it is due to the fact they make/supply their own CODEC for audio]- video capture works fine.- easy installation. No problems, no surprises.- Good quality of all screen captured videos and audio.CONs:- None yet

My son had been asking for game recording software for a while. I bought this for him to record his minecraft game so he can share his videos on Youtube. I really do not know much about game recording software, so I really just went with this product because of the price. I had some trouble setting up the streaming, but I was able to live chat with someone from litecam who was able to help me get it up and running. My son seems to be really enjoying this.

I've installed this on a Vista and a Windows 10 computer with no problems. It may be my hardware but playback is a bit choppy and occasionally there are minor frame freezes. I'm wondering if I need more RAM. Is 4gb enough? Task manager shows plenty of memory available when program is running. I've played with the recording settings to decrease the amount of chop and the result is reasonable. So I wouldn't say a perfect product, but pretty good and very easy to use. I'll see about expanding the RAM on m my Vista computer and if there is an improvement in the playback I will adjust my review.
