Cincher The Original Back Support - Black Small

I've had this for about 5 days or so and it has truly helped relieve the pain. I have had a sore spine, and this Cincher has helped prevent an aching back while doing chores.This is a high quality support and well priced for it's performance. It's easy to adjust, holds the tummy in- and makes me stand up straight naturally- without any effort on my part. I have noticed that I am more aware of my abs. I am more conscious with trying to engage them,.. which is a good thing. I got the large according to the sizing chart and if it were any larger it would be too big for me. The shoulder straps are the tightest that they will go and they are basically sitting on my shoulders with no pull on the elastic. I followed the directions that come with it so I know I have it perfectly positioned where it's supposed to be. I typically wear a size 14. I'm thinking of ordering black in medium verses the large.I've worn it both under and on top of a shirt. Both ways were comfortable for me and I had no scratchiness against my skin. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in improving their posture as well as relieving back pain due to poor posture or other causes. It just feels good!UPDATE JUNE 21, 2013:I went ahead and ordered a black one in size medium verses Large. The medium gives me less velcro to work with but the ability to add even more support than the large. With the large I was on the verge of overlapping the front flaps.Both work but I think the medium is better for me although if it were any smaller it would be too small. I weigh 160 and am 5'5" if this helps anyone. (could stand to lose a few...)I have a friend with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her spine. :( I gave the large cincher to her and she says it is helping helping her with pain as well as feeling more secure about supporting her spine.

This cincher is a little bit different than the one I previously purchased. I like the original one better than this one. I won't be purchasing another one in the future now that I know that is not the same and it is not as good as the previous cincher.

I bought a size small, and it fit perfectly. I am about 145lbs. the adjustable part of the straps do tend to rub against my skin a bit and get a little irritating. I have to wear it over my clothes, which is fine since I only wear it when I'm at home. Others say it can be worn under clothes, but I honestly don't see how that's possible unless you're wearing very loose and baggy clothes. The front of the Cincher, where there are two sets of velcro to hold everything in, is very bulky. Also, it's a racer-back type of garment, so the straps will show just wearing a regular top. As for the functionality of the Cincher, I use it for back support, and it works great for my lower and slight mid-back. I wish it had more support up towards my shoulder blades. Other than that, I think it's a great product!

This item came on time and I couldn't wait to try it on. WOW!! As soon as I put it on there was instant relief. I love the fit. I got a medium, and with the adjustment of the velcro it fit perfectly. My back feels wonderful, no kidding!! my posture improved immediately. I just had hip surgery on both hips and I was accustomed to bending at the waist because of the pain. Immediately I straighten-up. I had started line dancing to help correct my posture so I can wear this now to even help more. The strap under the arm rubs a little but I wear a leotard and it helps the rubbing, however, the benefit of the aforementioned success out-weights the little dis-comfort. Glory-be, Hallelujah!! I'm buying 2 more, one for my church clothes and one for gardening and cleaning my pool. I can't wait to show-off to my senior line dance buddies (70 to 89 yrs young). I bought two of them. The white one I bought is a medium and longer than the tan small one I bought. I was surprised that they are flexible but hold the back and any saggy front end parts in place taking weight off the spine. I liked it well enough to get the smaller one to wear under my clothes. I don't wear either constantly but when I need help I count on on them. The larger one makes me stay straight. The smaller allows me to move about but in a reminded way to think before I move. The really big help is holding the front torso load reducing back strain. They are not something a person with untreatable spinal issues leaves in the drawer. If you get back aches, this is a low cost way to relieve the strain and pain at least until you can lie down or take pain killers both of which keep me from getting things done.

I am 72 years old and have spinal stenosis and arthritis in my spine. I have had both of these conditions for a long number of years. I have been very lucky in that these two problems have become a real problem for me to deal with, only in the last 2 years. This posture support brace is straightening my back posture enough so that I can walk and stand up straight, while wearing it, for periods of time. Without it I need to lean on something to stand up straight. It also helps me to sit up straight. I'm very happy with this product. It does what it's supposed to do.

My back problems are caused by degeneration of L4 and L5 due to osteoarthritis. I thought this back support would be better than the inexpensive elastic back support that has given me some relief. I've worn this support a dozen times, trying different placement of the two bands that are attached on the back and adhere where you want them on the front via Velcro. No matter how I wear it the support rides up and curls underneath my bust. I have not yet determined the use of the shoulder straps. If I snug them up to help support my upper back the back support rides up more quickly. If I leave them loose they do not give my upper back any support at all. In either case, the Velcro attachment is very scratchy and I must put something underneath the strap to keep the little hooks from rubbing on my skin.On the positive side, when I first put the support on it give me good support and my back feels stable for a while. If I am home and able to re-adjust it every hour it works pretty well.
