These scissors were very sharp, and loved cutting with them. I am not sure if they were designed for right-handed people, but even as a lefty, I was able to use these with no problems. They currently work better than my Gingher scissors. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the gold handle just seems to be there for appearance, and I could have done without it. The gold felt like a plastic utensil with a shiny finish, and I didn't care for that much.

I am so surprised that these scissors are uncomfortable in my hand and thumb. They are not as heavy and precise as I was expecting.

The Scissors are quite nicely ground and polished. They cut through 4 layers of heavy denim without a problem. I am a guy with fairly big hands so they are a bit smaller than I would prefer but are probably exactly right for those with normal size hands. The finish on the gold handle scissors is very nice.I used the bonus tutorial about taking in jeans for my first project. I used the flat felled seam option and I think it turned out pretty great for a first try. I ended up taking 4" out of the waist (pants were big and I wanted them snug enough to wear without a belt). This project really wants a heavy duty machine since you end up sewing through 6-8 layers at the crossing points. I used my 1950s Singer 31-15 .. no problems.

These were not good scissors, more imitation crap than anything else. Ran through the sharpener twice, no help, just crap period.

After using this for a few weeks, I'm very happy with this product. At first, I thought it was too tight and it hurt my hand to cut but thankfully after a few uses, it's now quite smooth and easy to use. It's always been sharp and lightweight enough to make it a joy to cut fabric with (including upholstery fabrics). I love the gold color. Really sets my shears apart from others in my sewing class so it never gets accidentally picked up by someone else. Only wish it came in longer sizes. Would love to buy a 10 or 12 inch blade version

It's hard to find gold scissors for the office so we got these. Since they are actually for fabric, paper is no issue and they are tough. Though mine came with rust spots on one side, it's what you can expect at such a low price. But works good and looks good.

Very informative videos.
