These covers are easy to put on, they don't crinkle and they work for bed bugs!
Honestly I was afraid these wouldn't be comfy &/or keep bedbugs away. And worse, that they would make my husband even hotter than he is at night, but they are perfect!! I know this is long, but I think its worth the read. So I started on Amazon, I typed in "bedbug mattress covers", & started looking at the options.. I read a lot of reviews, on many products, but they all pretty much had the same thing: some good reviews, (people who seemed to know how to put a cover on & usually didn't have bedbugs), & some bad reviews (people who put it on wrong or didn't treat bedbugs with anything other than covers, which you can't do). The other reviews were almost all about whether the different mattress covers are waterproof. Since I was battling a bedbug issue I didnt care if they were waterproof, but I had caught it early enough so we really needed covers asap to keep the infestation from spreading & to help with isolation of the problem to make it easier to eliminate them completely. Anyways, I looked at about 24 different covers, looked at pictures, read the information about them from companies, & looked at the reviews the most.. None of them were enough to sway me one way or the other. When I came across the Hospitality ones, I almost didn't stop, since the prices are very reasonable. My man said just check them out since he was irritated that I wouldn't just pick one, so I checked them out, read reviews & zoomed in on pictures of the product. As I read the description, I noticed they said "lab tested", so I checked out the lab too, which was legit. So I ordered 2 right away, one for my futon & one for my daughter's twin bed. When they came, they were very soft & the zipper was tiny, that's a good thing because then the tiniest of bedbugs can't get through it. If you don't do research on bedbugs, you won't be able to eliminate them. Plus the eggs & babie are seriously almost completely clear until they feed & grow, & are as small as a grain of salt, so they're very hard to see. Well anyways, like I said the covers were super soft, so that's great. They keep out the bugs. The covers went on super easily. My husband & I put the futon cover on in a matter of 4 mins, together, we didn't even have to lift it up much, just lifted as we slipped it on. It was super easy. My daughters I was able to put on by myself, she has 2 older twin size thin matresses & a foam topper abt 1 inch thick. I was able to fit all 3 of those in the twin size cover I got for her, by myself. Along with these covers, I used all natural spray from Home Depot, & a huge bag of diatomaceous earth. We haven't had any problems since. And although these are not really waterproof, they are very easy to clean with a wet wash cloth and some 409(had to do that 2 days ago when my dog threw up on it), but you could even just use a disinfectant wipe too. They are machine wash or as well, but with bedbugs, its best you leave covers on for at least 12-16 months since they can live for a long time without food. I HOPE THIS ALL HELPED & GOOD LUCK. :)

Comfortable, great Amazon price, Helps with BB defense.
Like many people nowadays...my apartment house (three apartments) got struck by the dreaded bed bug. Their source was upstairs, and neither occupant, strangely enough, reacted to bites, so they multiplied and eventually sought fresh prey downstairs...namely, me. I *did* react to bites, but after a few weeks of mystery bites I could not explain, the BB problem was lurking in the back of my mind, although I never saw them even after multiple checks, including my box spring and mattress. It was only sheer coincidence that led to my finding a live specimen of the little vampire horrors, and to get a hold of my landlord immediately. Strangely, he had never dealt with the problem before, despite all the properties he owns. He got a pest control company over quickly for an inspection. My problem was extremely mild at that point, and the main issue was upstairs, where the problem was moderate. They freaked as well as I did. Most of our stuff was trashed, I had to give away my cat, and my landlord was very good about helping me to obtain a new bed as my financial resources are very limited (but after 11 years renting from him, I've never been late). I was at my wit's end wondering what sort of mattress and box spring covers I could afford as the ones the pest control company offered were a hundred bucks each. I finally came to Amazon and did some careful research. Chose Hospitality because of the quantity as well as the quality of the many excellent four-five star reviews as well as their affordable pricing. The products arrived in a timely fashion and my landlord was good about assisting me getting them on my bed. As I have a metal bed frame, I bought some duct tape and used them to really blunt anything that could be a sharp corner before putting the box spring back down. I have noted the comments on here about the box springs being made of slightly thinner material and will be keeping a close eye on that, because these things won't come off for over a year. They came with special sticky pads to also help with that problem and with little plastic ties to help secure the zipper before you close the Velcro strap over the end to completely seal the encasement. So far, so good. They are working and also quite comfortable, and are helping with my allergies, which have significantly improved since I got rid of so much that I didn't need and got this place free of cat hair as well. The hardest part right now is the wait to ensure those little vampires are really gone, because they can really traumatize a person. Remember that these things will not automatically stop all bed bugs by themselves. Whatever was living outside your mattress case (if any) can still continue to get at you. These only entomb those that were in your mattress and box spring. Take care of them as well as the rest of your things so they can still keep helping to take care of you!

Twin Defense in place
So far I'm liking it and didn't have any problems out of the package since realizing BB hitched a ride home from work that someone brought with them. While not as easy or quick for one person to fit on a bed, it is doable. I have a pillow top twin mattress, about 12" in height, and this fit perfectly. As I mentioned there were no holes, tears, or any other problems out of the package as some other people came across. I did notice a slight orange discoloration on the inside which I'm assuming came from the orange colored tag also inside the encasement. This did not show on the outside of the encasement. I didn't have any issues with trapped air, probably due to the pillow top filling it out. And no issues with it retaining body heat while sleeping on it. While not noiseless or like a plain bed sheet on top of the mattress, it is not all that loud, annoying, or an issue for me. To give you an idea of the sound, go put on your winter jacket and move around. So unless your moving your body all the time or jerking around a lot, this really shouldn't be a problem sleeping on. The feel is soft like an Under Armor shirt. A good quality bed sheet will of course make it softer. I'm not worried about waterproofing and don't plan on testing it out. The only thing that I think about but doesn't concern me too much though is the zipper. Once zipped up you use a zip tie to pull the zipper tight and keep it zipped up with a velcro tab over top. While this of course can be improved, I don't really have an issue of it failing. Others have said that they find BB under the velcro tab, so before I put on the zip tie I puffed a little CimeXa dust on the inside and then a little on the outside once zip tied and then applied the velcro over the zipper. That should help prevent any BB from hiding there and if they do, the CimeXa dust should kill them. So far a solid product with no problems, but will update this review if I do come across any later.
