Great item
Great steps but do need to improve the sturdiness of the rail

Pretty happy
We received the steps in good time. Have had to add weight to them to help in keeping them in place. We do like having a place to sit. We used our gallon jugs and filled them with sand and put underneath to help hold down. Have read where you need to change that out at least once a month as the plastic will deteriorate. Don't want sand in the bottom of the pool. For this year going to see how that goes.

Poor design
Do not buy these steps. "no additional weight required"... This is not true. With only one deck brace the steps will float away due to the curvature of above ground pool bottom. I was so dissappointed I ate the cost due to the high cost of return shipping and gave them to a friend to see if they could use them. Told them to put them out on garbage night if they couldnt make them work because thats exactly what they are "GARBAGE"

Big dissappointment
Purchased these stairs primarily because description said no ballast needed. However, they try to float away and tip over, and there is no place to put any ballast. The handrail seems very flimsy and wobbly for equipment with such a high weight capacity. The rubber protector on the bottom isn't secured and came partially off with all the bobbing around in the current. This has put a deep crease/dent in the liner bottom - which I am truly hoping isn't going to be the start of a leak in my brand new pool!I thought the blue color would go nicely with the blue liner. However, the top step is a nice color, but the second step is an ugly aqua, and the next two steps are a shade that falls somewhere in between. Of course we noticed this when unpacking and assembling, but hoped maybe you wouldnt be able to tell the difference when under water. it isn't very attractive when you look closely. The one positive remark I have is that they were very easy and quick to assemble and they were able to be shipped ups instead of truck freight.

solid steps, but don't stay down
I liked the fact that these steps were solid and sturdy and big enough for swimmers to play on them. I purchased these steps because the product details specifically said you do not need weights to keep the steps down. I did not want to deal with weights or sand bags. The steps do sink, but they are not heavy enough to stay put; they move around when the water circulates. I thought once it was screwed into the deck that this would not be a problem, but with just one hand rail and large steps, one side of the steps drifts away from the deck putting strain on the handrail and making the steps crooked and not flush on the pool floor. I am just waiting for the hand rail to snap. Additionally, most above ground pools do not have straight sides, there is a slight curve in the lining. These pool steps are flat along the back. They look like they will rest flat against the side of the pool, but because of the curvature of the pool the bottom where it meets the sides the pool isn't flat until about 6-10 inches from the pool wall. So, for the steps to sit flat on the bottom, you have to put the whole unit 10 inches away from the side of the pool. This leaves a big space for kids to get behind or for little ones to fall into the water. I am pretty disappointed in the purchase and now am looking for replacement steps that will stay down and not drift away.

Floats Away
Horrible. There is no way to secure it as it floats to side. If someone knows how to secure these that would be great. i even had pool company come out and they said could not secure it up to code
