Maybe avoid the used options.
Times are rough, so, I thought to save $6 buying the "used-like new" option. That turned out to be a mistake, the bearing races were rusty and pitted, barely moved. I spent a fair bit of time taking the pedals apart, carefully cleaning up the loose bearings and trying my best to smooth out the rust pitting in the bearing races before regreasing them with some moly. They seem to be working alright but I don't recommend the used options, no matter what they CLAIM the condition is.Since I have no experience with these pedals in "brand new" condition, take my review for what it is. Bearings aside I do like them, they look great on my similarly blue old bike and my feet stay in position very well compared to how it was with my old plastic pedals.

awesome old-schoolness
Fit well but the threads were a bit short and didnt go all the way through the cranks but are solid enough for the abuse I put them through. Even after several extremely rocky rides on the trails around here the reflectors still are attached to the pedals. The teeth are almost too sharp, watch out for shin/calf busters! You will be bleeding! Overall, 9.9 of 10.

Old school anodized red matches Red Line
Looks great on my 26 inch Red Line cruiser mounted on chrome Flight crank arms

Retro bear traps for old BMX'ers
Ok, so these are not high buck pedals like Hutch bear traps, but they will hold your shoes in place (and shred your shins) just as well.

Bearings are not sealed.
Really liked the initial quality of these petals. They look and feel great. However, 5 months of almost daily rides has killed the left pedal’s bearings and they are creaking real bad. Not surprising as they don’t have sealed bearings. Not suitable for MTB, that was my mistake. Can’t say that I would buy these again.

Just like the 80's
When I was a kid I had to have bear trap pedals for my bike. When I saw these as I was looking for parts to convert a beach cruiser to klunker, I had to have them.I think they are about the same price as I paid for them in 80's.They are strong durable pedals.

Decent for the price, look good, the spindle is tightened too much
They are good for the price. I wouldn't call them high-performance by any means. The bolt on the spindle is way too tight. I had to take them apart and loosed everything. This works good so far but the left pedal seems to tighten back up from the rotation of riding. I'm happy for the price and the look.

I’m happy with the purchase
Wanted to keep it original. They look great!
