THIS IS NOT A MIDI CABLE
By the time I'd wasted several hours over a few days discovering this wasn't a MIDI cable I'd thrown away the packaging. Note to self : always read the reviews.

It works as expected
This cable is fine. I connected an echo flex to a bang and olufsen cd player aux in socket and the music plays properly out of the b&o speakers. Only complaint is that the 3.5mm jack plug is ever so slightly loose in the flex socket. It might be the socket of course I can’t tell. Anyway it works fine and I’m happy with it

Not very clear
The description does say this is not a MIDI standard cable, however, it doesn't specify what pins are connected. This is not a type A and neither a type B. I check with a multimeter and MIDI PIN 4 connects to TIP and MIDI PIN 1 connects to ring. For types A or B the connections are on MIDI PIN 4 and MIDI PIN 5.Might be useful for other audio applications, but definitely not useful for connecting MIDI instruments. Even if you think you can open and resolder it, it's not an easy change, better to pay more for the correct cable.

Why is the second word in the description of this cable MIDI when it is NOT a Midi cable?
I bought this assuming it was a MIDI cable. It said MIDI in the second word of the description. When it came it didn't work. That's when I read the description further where it says it does not work with MIDI - I think perhaps you need to update the description of this!
