Are you saved?
This is one of my most dear books, as it will lead you into a deeper understanding of the death and resurrection process of Baptism. Don't read it if you only want what the modern churchist's offer you, quick, easy, effortless salvation. If you are lucky you may understand with the help of the Holy Spirit just what Jeanne Guyon learned. It is not easy to understand this book apart from the HS guiding. It is a very important must read. I recommend to all who call themselves Christian.

God is calling for Maturation in his kingdom
I have read this book 2 times and still use it for a reference as God works Luke 6 to love your enemies and bless them into my life. Romans 7 says the old nature is always there but the new nature is being worked in us as we practice it. This is obtained by studing the word and listening to Him in and having quiet times. Loving your enemies is a command and Jeanne speaks of following God's commands. God gently and caringly speaks to us as we quiet ourselves and we commune with Him. I encourage you to follow the Final Steps for maturity in Christ.

Come out into the deep.
This book will take you into the deep, so if you prefer to stay on shore, you should not read it. However, if you would like to go deeper and experience the depths of Christian maturity, this is the book for you. A must-read for the Christian who want to take a journey to the deeper Christian life.

Great writing on experiencing the "Inner Way"
"Final Steps in Christian Maturity" is for the serious Christian, who seeks or already knows the Inner Way; that is: "Christ in you, the hope of Glory." Every word on every page will be written deep upon your heart. This work by Jeanne Guyon is indeed a masterpiece and treasure. Sadly, such reality is seldom found in the life of today's believers. Says Who?
This book has 114 pages of text in which each page has about three small paragraphs. It has ten pages of advertisements in the back.It has many blank pages.I have read most of Guyon’s writings and for some reason this book does not sound like her at all. Something is not right. These excerpt were taken from "Justifications", written in 1695 and it doesn't seem to “ring” with the maturity of “Spiritual Torrents” written earlier in 1682.My only conclusion is that the interpreter of this book - George W. McCall 1915 - selected his favorite excerpts from the total 400 page publication and the ones he chose reflected his state of maturity. After all, it wasn’t Madame Guyon who compiled this book of excerpts, nor gave it it’s title. So who is the one claiming that this is her opinion - that these are the “Final Steps”?
