Plantronics Explorer 500, Black, Bluetooth, 203621-05 (Renewed)

The product description states in the first bullet point, "... The product ships with all relevant accessories, a minimum 90-day warranty & may arrive in a generic white or brown box...." It did not ship with all relevant accessories as described/illustrated in the manual. A screen shot of the accessory section of the manual is included. The package included only one ear hook, one ear gel, the charging strap and the device. The description is misleading or my item was packaged incorrectly. But, the product works better than I expected, sounds great, is very light and comfortable and has a great battery life.

This review is real, I love this exact model, I'm NEVER without it, everywhere I go, because I NEVER hold my phone to my head or in the crook of my neck. I highly recommend it! I've been using this exact one for years, and ALL the time. They last forever, I love it, and I always have at least 2 so one can charge, It has rapid recharge to the full 7 hours in about 20 minutes. The buttons allow you to answer, hang up, adjust volume, mute, pause, etc. I use it for ALL phone conversations, and frequent listening to audible material. It doesn't even need the over-ear hook that comes with it. The clever shaped rubber tips keep it in my ear just fine, for quick insertion and removal. I forget it's even in my ear. When not in use, I make a point to keep it consistently in the same places, so I don't misplace and lose it, usually my purse pocket. The one thing that is slightly bothersome is the top has a thin rubbery layer, and after months of use can begin to peel off. I've ruined 2 devices with superglue. I've now discovered that I simply need to just use more caution to avoid the clicker area. Noise cancellation is great, except if I'm loudly (un)loading the dishwasher, people say they can hear the clanking, but I don't think complete noise cancellation is possible with any brand. Buy it, you'll love it. I have found many discounted ways to purchase them. Right now I am trying 2 refurbished ones and am pleased with the quality. Plantronic brand does not disappoint.

I enjoy using this product. It works well. It is very comfortable and I could see me wearing it all day. It stays in the ear well and does not seal the ear, so you can still hear through that ear. However, the magnetic charge cable that comes with it will not charge the unit enough. It will partial charge it. I have 2 of these cables and it's the same with both. I plugged in a phone charger and it seems to be charging right now. Time will tell whether or not it reaches the full 7 hours talk time.

Okay so for the record I've always said a Bluetooth earpiece is the best way to waste a 100 dollar bill; at least that's what I always paid for them and they've always sounded like crap. I'm talking about leading brands that don't hold muster to the needs of the user. My brother refuses to talk to me when I'm using my earbuds that came with my iPhone or any other hands free mic/headset used with my phone. He's sensitive to it and will just hang up. His reasoning is that talking on the phone should not be a chore. I was able to talk to him the other day with my new explorer 500 and he was cool with it. This piece is really good and clear both sending and receiving. The voice cues are not overbearing as some earpieces are. They tell you just enough to let you know how much charge you have left, which phones are connected and when it's answering a call. This is the best money under 50.00 I've spent on an earpiece. I never notice it in my ear and have to pull it out when talking to customers so I don't look like "that" guy. The only time it comes out of my ear involuntarily is when I knock it out with my sunglasses or lanyard. Get this one. You'll love it! It's money well spent

I have purchased around 10 of the Plantronics Explorer 50.., (loosing them or the dog eats them) I am a fan, I refuse to talk on the phone without the Bluetooth, however when I couldn’t not find them on amazon , I ordered the Explorer 500, works great. Comfortable. The biggest issue is the batter life is only glad of explorer 50. At full charge it only gives you “7 hrs” seems more like 5. I wear the device all day and use for work and talking through the day. I always run out of battery before the end of the day. Compared to the explorer 50 which gives you “12hrs if talk time” Both devices announce how much talk time you have once you turn on. I found the explorer 50 on amazon again and have already placed a replacement order.

E500 works excellently, as expected of a Plantronics product. Unfortunately, only had the item for one month and battery is already not charging to 100%. Max capacity is 87% with 6-hours talk time (instead of 7). Tried several chargers with same results. Hoping battery does not completely die soon. Not sure what was "Renewed" but obviously not the battery.

It’s very comfortably in Ear and the phone quality is great quality

This earpiece is my favorite of all I've ever owned. I've tried and returned so many, I've owned so many over the years. Finally found one I love! One earpiece I owned would incessantly repeat "disconnected" every few seconds whenever I walked out of range. This one did not do that, plus it's range is a bit further than those others. Another would call out people's numbers. This one reads the names. Talk time is 7 hours (not 9 like another model I had) but it charges quickly so that's ok. It also stays in place well while I'm exercising. Sound quality is excellent according to those I'm talking to. Noise cancelation seems great also, no one has complained about my noisy background since I got it a couple months ago. Great choice!

Le bouton du son est brisé...il est tombé par terre sans que je ne m'en aperçoive ..pas fort!

Perfect just like a brand new one. It came with the magnetic USB cable and a plastic clip for the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth should last 7 hours and the quality of the Bluetooth is the best I've used to date.
