Let there be light!
Oh, how we suffered in the dark for years until I discovered this nifty product. My husband gets up earlier than I do and had to take a flashlight to get his socks out of his drawer each morning. it was a hassle to say the least. We placed one of these in the wardrobe up on the top and voila! ~ he can see all of his undergarments when he opens the door. The best part is this light is faithful to light up the interior of his cabinet be it day or night.Chapter Two. This worked so wonderfully that I began looking around the house and seeing where else I could use light. So I purchased one for the closet downstairs which has no light in it. We installed the light up on the header behind the railing of the doors and now I can see in the closet be it day or night. One funny note..... when I walk past the closet, it detects my motion through the crack where the two bi-fold doors come together and turns on with the doors closed.Chapter Three. Hunted for more places in my home that I could use this light.... I applied a third light in the bathroom, on the bottom of the hanging cabinet which sits over the toilet. Make sense? In lieu of a bulky nightlight in a very small and dark bathroom, now when anyone approaches the commode, the light is activated without having to turn on the overhead. Pretty cool! Now no one in the adjoining bedroom is disturbed with the light/fan noise.I believe I have purchased all three within the last year and so far, they are still going strong.

Bought it but not sure I would buy it again
Three week Update - Added another star to the soft white LED light. Buy this version if you want to use your own batteries instead of the lithium Ion batteries found on the rechargeable version of this.So you dont't need to read my earlier reviews, I hated this product at first. Now I give it four stars but be aware, you need to have the right location to put this. The soft lighting is bright but not harsh. This still takes more batteries than I'd prefer but has not run low on power yet. The spot above my toilet and under a bathroom cabinet made for an ideal home for this light. The included hardware will not work on drywall and is only marginal for wood (although I do admit it works fine). If I were to do it again I'd try the rechargeable model. One Week Update - Gained one starSo if you have the absolute perfect place for this, the light works fine. To save you from reading my reviews to date, here is the synopsis. The best place to put this light is under a wooden cabinet high enough up where the sensor will pick up motion below it. I moved this into a bathroom with wooden cabinets above the toilet. The soft light works great at night and is bright enough although since you likely don't move a lot, you can expect the light to cut out every 15 seconds. If the light going on and off doesn't bother you, then this is a very nice one for that specific type of location.Previously I mounted it (using the screws) to the drywall in my closet under the stairs. In this location, the light didn't work because of the ambient light sensor which is a little too sensitive. It also had problems (even in darkness) "seeing" me approach and I found I had to wave my arms for a bit to get it to turn on. When I decided to remove it from the closet, the spring clips pulled right out of the drywall. After looking back at my purchase, I believe I had intended on purchasing the rechargeable stick-on version of this light. It looks to have the nice soft white color but won't require a significant investment in rechargeable batteries, is not affected by ambient light, and seems to have much better reviews. Although it is a few dollars more, that product appears to be better suited for my purposes. Motion Sensor LED Closet Light - Kitclan Rechargeable 20-LED Stick-on Anywhere Light, Portable Night Light/Sensor Light/Step Light for Cabinet, Corridor, Hallway(Warm White) Day 2Loses another star today. I may just return it. I mounted it in the closet under the stairs. It mounted easy enough but even up under the stairs it won't turn on unless I hold my hand over the sensor. Here's my advice. The only time this will be useful is in a very dark place where the sensor can be directly over whever there will be movement. The mounting was easier than expected and they are like spring clips so the unit will pull off easy enough. I just can't reccomend this unless you have the right setup.I bought the soft white motion light for a very small closet under the stairway.First Impressions- my six rechargeable batteries are more expensive than the fixture- for six batteries it is fairly dim in a large room- the mounting clips require screws. I am renting so I may try command strips instead of putting holes in the wall or ceiling.Pros- Nice soft light- actually lights the space decently- sensor works okay but better be careful your motion is happening somewhere below the sensorCons- clip mount requires screws- battery cover inaccessible while mounted- lower than anticipated light outputA couple of unknowns remain- sensor function during daylight hours- ability to remove the light easily to replace the batteries- battery life over timeHonestly, I'm on the fence about this one. I'm a fan of LED everything and really spent a lot of time reading reviews. Too much apparently. If I were to do it again, I'd look for magnetic mount and rechargeable. Just an okay purchase for me so far. I'll come back and update later once I decide whether to keep this or not.I took three reference photos with an LED desk lamp mostly for color comparison. The first is this light and the brightest "warm" setting. THe portable one is noticeably more yellow. Second picture is the same warm setting on the plug in lamp but the lower power. The last picture is more of a cool white to shown the differnce in color.I ordered the soft white version. When placed Inside the closet, the lighting appears to be adequate. By setting the unit on a key hook in the closet and the light just fine as I approach the door.

Excellent motion light!
Mounted one of these in the storage space under my house stairs. It's been down there for months and the lights still come on nice and bright whenever you go back there. Unlike some motion lights, I have had NO problems with this coming on. Mounted it on the ceiling using the included mounting brackets. The metal casing is a wonderful touch and gives the device a reassuring hardiness. Very pleased! The only thing that could make this better would be a setting that makes it come on gradually rather than instantly.====UPDATE 2019-01-08====2 years later and this thing is still running strong! It lives in the storage area under the stairs, and despite being down there untouched for months at a time it still comes on bright and strong whenever we do go into that area of the house. My experience with motion lights thus far is that the sensor can go bad and the light will stay on perpetually, but this device still works wonderfully! My only complaint is the wall mount isn't very good. The clips are too tight on the chassis, and I ended up pulling the clips out of the wall before I could get the chassis out to change the batteries. The light sits on the floor now, though eventually I may try a Velcro mount.

expensive for what you get, still, quality is not bad plus no li-ion batteries to catch on fire
(judging from the damaged packaging I probably got a returned one)The light is not very good for wardrobes when mounted overhead as angle cannot be adjusted - LEDs shine directly in ones eyes. 1/2" lip on one side or some kind of swivel mounting could fix that. Mounting bracket's are soft and easily bent (made of a wrong material). I wish more brackets were included so the light could be attached at multiple locations or as a spare.Motion detection works and light does not turn on when it's bright enough. Warm light color is a big plus over most other LED lights. It has a very tiny, hard to access, OFF/AUTO/ON switch. I deduce, based on the manual's instructions, that it does not have any battery protection. I do not know how long batteries will last yet however, if specs are true, it should give 2-4 hours of light (500-1000 on/off cycles).
