Read it
My nephew likes the franchise brand, is currently reading as many novels that are out. A good continuation if you're a big fan.

A terrific companion to the movie.
More great stories about Kaiju and Jaggers. Some to read until the second movie gets here.

Not worth the Read
This seller did a great job getting me my item. My problem is with the actual comic book. I am a big fan of the Pacific Rim story and franchise so i was excited to get my hands on the trade since I had failed to collect the comic books. I had previously read Tales from Year Zero and I loved it. The art was great, the story telling was wonderful, and it was a great book over all. This comic on the other had was an absolute travesty. The story is a joke, the plot is so basic and trope-y. The art and editing was in excusable. The dialog was drivel. This comic was a failure. I can only hope that the next thing they decide to publish takes a good hard look at this mess and tried harder.

The book is good, even if the art style is much different then that of the film,if you like pacific rim then you'll like the book.

I was really disappointed with this book
I'm a HUGE fan of the 1st film, especially its character/creature design. With that being said, I was really disappointed with this book, from the art to the storyline. It didn't feel like this was part of the same universe. The Kaiju in this look nothing like the monsters from the film or any of the ones sketched in preproduction. They just look out of place, more like ultraman villains. Their blood is also green, which leads me to believe the artist didn't study the source material. I was really looking forward to this since its announcement. Unfortunately, it has way too many holes in its armour.

Highly disappointing
It's hard to describe how disappointing this book is when you compare it to the work from "Year Zero". Overall the product is poorly produced and feels rushed from its script, layouts, art, and writing. It very much comes across a product that was created because someone was contractually obligated to do so, as opposed to wanting to make something that fans of Pacific Rim would cherish.
