The media could not be loaded.  I have no idea how I was cutting watermelon before I got this slicer! I mean wow! It made cutting up my watermelon so much easier! Really! I have always kind of struggled with cutting up watermelon. It may sound silly, but it is true. Once I almost even cut off my finger trying to cut up a watermelon! This slicer and server seriously simplified cutting up watermelon for me. I just cut the watermelon in half and then used the slicer to cut out slices of watermelon and then chopped those slices up into bite size pieces. What used to take me forever took me like 3 minutes total. I really can not believe that I have not gotten one of these sooner. I also like the rubber on the handle part. It feels nice and makes it comfortable to hold on to. If you are on the fence about buying one of these, don't be! I use it all the time.

I recently received this product and was surprised to find out it's pretty flimsy. I figured this would be perfect for these summer months considering I was a watermelon in my house almost every week. It's a plastic handle with a thin metal slicer attached. It's a decent size and does do a decent job of slicing watermelon. It fits in my hand alright and doesn't feel like it would break anytime soon. The only thing would be that the size of the watermelon would have to fit the size of the tool. I'm sure you could work with it fine.*If this review helped you please click YES! This is one of those review items that I have been very excited to get, and imagine my shock and dismay when it arrived just in a box with no instructions. I had to use YouTube to figure out how to use this thing, and then I did use it and I ended up slicing the living crap out of myself. It is sharp and gives no warning about that. It is not safe. It comes with nothing to put the sharp blades away in, so where are you supposed to store it without somebody reaching into a drawer and also cutting their fingers. I don't like this one bit. When you pull back and you slice your finger deep and wide, it's not worth the hassle. I'll stick to a knife.So, this thing works as intended, you can get the watermelon out and get all the meat. But do you really want all of the meat? Because this doesn't differentiate between the green rind, the light white areas and the red areas. It means that you're going to have to cut the watermelon again anyway to get rid of the bad stuff. Not worth it.
