Comfort Loft Open Flame Camping Cook Set #1

I purchased this based on the good reviews and after seeking a only food grade stainless steel cookware set for on a campfire.With a campfire the color of the fire indicates its temperature, with deep reds at roughly 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit) and orange-yellow being about 1,100 degrees Celsius (2,012 degrees Fahrenheit). This would definitely melt most plastic and silicone parts.It does come with a nylon and mesh carring bag and only weighs in at 2.2lbs.It cleans up fairly easily too, and any stuck on food can be removed with Scotch Brite it steel wool. I am very happy with this set and highly recommend it if your looking to cook over your campfire.

Solid construction, 6 spot welds to hold the wire handles on. The lid fits both pots but not the pan. They nest OK, but not so well that I am in awe. Does come w a nice carry bag. My stove and a small butane tank fit in with room for some other tools. Good kit great value.

I went into this knowing it would be on the cheap side due to the price, but it was a mistake. We used the set just days ago on a 2 night camping trip, on a cookstove, not a campfire. I'm surprised so many reviewers raved a about the quality when using over a campfire, which can get far hotter and trickier to control the temp. This is thin metal, with no additional layer to provide anything close to even heating. About halfway through cooking up some bacon the fry pan warped and would not sit evenly on the stove, making it unstable. All pans will heat very quickly -- and unevenly -- due to the thin metal. The handles are thin and cannot be used on flame without an oven mitt. We were very disappointed in this set and ended up having to throw away the small pot, as well as the fry pan.

Used all three pots/pans on my recent camping trip -- these were great for over-fire cooking. Quality construction, easy to cook with and clean. Stacked together fine and mesh bag makes them easy to transport. And the price was fantastic.Only complaint is that each pot has a slightly raised center on its cooking surface (meant to make them nest together better when stacked I guess). Just makes cooking pancakes a nightmare, but that's a small complaint.

We’ve used these on a few camping trips now and cooked 10+ meals. They’re light, compact, and work well. We put them directly on the coals to boil water and cook, and haven’t had any issues with doing so.

Excellent for what they are, but too light for serious camp cooking (especially if you are cooking for multiple people).

Cleans up decent when using over an open flame. Decent weight for backpacking.

Held up to 7 days of cooking over a fire so far and non the worse for wear.... Good buy for sure!!
