Gold Filled & Sterling Silver SILVER EAGLE Bezel 40.7 mm Screw Top Coin Edge One oz Coin NOT Included

I bought 2 coin-edge bezels for gifts through Amazon: 40.7 and 38. The 40.7 fit perfectly, but I miscalculated the 38. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size I do need (or at least what someone with better eyes said I need), but the customer service lady at Sabrina Silver took a great deal of her time to try to help me. Both bezels were nice quality and were what I wanted … except the one size. I am keeping the wrong-sized bezel and will run across a coin I will use and I will also be back for a fancier bezel for a coin I wear. Thank you; a little kindness goes a very long way. Amazon, keep selling their items.

A half dollar coin will not fit in this bezel, it is too large. The coin does not come with the bezel, even though I knew this, it can be misleading for others. I was looking for a bezel for a half dollar coin. Otherwise, it looks great if you have the correct size coin.

Where the screw attaches both sides, it is not quite flush. So far that has been the only issue.

I bought one of these in May (2024) to hold a Silver American Eagle. The coin fit a tad bit loose. The American Silver Eagle coin would spin even when the screw was tightened fully. So, I cut a super narrow strip of plain paper and put it around the coin bezel, inside of the holder and it worked perfect. That made the coin fit snug.The reason for the low stars is that this coin holder didn't even last 6 months. The weld holding the loop onto the bezel broke off. Luckily I didn't loose the coin. I am disappointed that it only lasted 5.5 months. Honestly, I expected it to last longer. Maybe mine was defective?I really liked it a lot for the time it lasted. In fact I have even ordered a replacement of the same model. Hopefully the replacement is a little more robust. I suppose if the replacement I ordered also breaks I will need to look for a different more rugged bezel. I don't feel like I should need to buy a new one every six months.

I thought a 1oz silver eagle from the us mint would be the same as a 1oz silver round from a private mint would be pretty much the same size, but apparently they are not.

Silver in color only!! Took to jeweler to have coin installed and the lady helping me found the screw was faulty. She managed to get the coin in but after a rubs to get it in and clasp it back closed. It looked brass almost. Waste of time and money!
