Recently I bought two more books to give as Christmas gifts to two friends who are hugely talented "proppies," but who are a little newer to all this. I think they'll learn a lot and enjoy the good read!

Love this book so much I bought three copies! I bought my first copy because I do props for several community theatre plays a year. The description sounded good and I wanted to see what someone in the field had to share. Amy has her act together! Lots of what she wrote confirms what I already know or have learned on the job and she has many other great tips as well. She's open and generous in sharing what she knows and sprinkles a perfect amount of humor in along the way. A Great Resource
Great book!!! I've worked props for years, although not professionally so I don't claim to know everything and am always open to great ideas. Everything this author so generously shares either resonates or is a great new idea to add to what I already know. I toyed with buying this book over several months, but then decided to just do it. I'm so glad I bought it! It's a wonderful addition to my theatre library! I highly recommend this book to anyone who works on props in a production and most especially to anyone who is acting as a propsmaster.

Managing the Prop Room
If you're working as a prop master this is a good guide for day to day responsibilities. If you're building props for a show, look elsewhere.

Nicely done book on a very niche subject
Nicely done book on a very niche subject. Though there were a couple sections that weren't as valuable as others, overall the author's advice made this a worthwhile purchase!

Experience in a Book
This has defiantly helped me in learning how to handle things as a props master. I'm currently a college freshman and props master for one of our spring shows. This has given me the knowledge that I needed to come up with a peleminary props list for the show, and I will continue to use this book as a guide throughout the process.

Destroyed
I bought a new book, and it came absolutely destroyed. It is still readable but for the price I paid you would think it wouldn't be folded and would be NEW not in this condition.
