Mazama MagmaFlow Quick Disconnect Coupler for Easier Hydration Bladder Filling

There work REALLY well for leaving the bladder in your pact to refill from a gravity filter. Loved that part.However, they fit some bladders better than others. Mine leaked a bit. Even with zip ties for hose clamps, when it was full it would drip a little. Not the end of the world though. My other bladder was just fine, the tubing was just a little smaller.Also some care must be used when putting the pack on, you can pull the barb back out of the tube.I suggest a zip tie on them! It helped.

My wife and I have old camelback bladders that we removed from their original daypacks and now put in our new daypacks. But we didn't like having to disentangle the hose each time we wanted to fill them or clean them. So bought these disconnects so only the bladder a and a short segment of hose need be removed for filling and cleaning. Work great, no leaks.

These work great. I got them to extend the tubing on a Berkey filter primer bulb and allow me to easily swap the direction of flow. They hold up just fine to the pressure from the bulb. The tubing I got was quite a tight fit, so a few seconds in boiling water softened it up enough to fit over the barbs.

I installed this quick disconnect coupler on my hydration pack and used it on my last backpacking trip. It is so great to not have to take the bladder out of the pack to fill it up with my Katadyn water filter. I like the automatic shutoff feature of the disconnect! I highly recommend this coupler for use with any hydration bladder/reservoir.

These are excellent quick connects. Durable and easy to use, I’ve had issues with other types but so far these are working great

These are great. I ordered several of them along with the squeeze bulb and a cheap sun shower. Now I have interchangeable connections for my 3 liter hydration bladderA mouthpiece for drinking, A squeeze bulb for cooking, Water Filter for filling in place, and a showerhead for rinsing off dishes and ourselves. Not one connection leaked or had interchangeability issues.

Worked great as a quick disconnect for a gravity water filter system I was building. I like that this model has the auto-shutoff mechanism when you disconnect the two halves. The female end (with the button) is the part that closes off, so orient your hoses based on which end you need to close when disconnected.

Quarter price of the big brand ones. Only downside is it doesn’t seal when disconnected. Not a big whoop.
