They fit a '99 Ford Explorer
Installed on a '99 Ford Explorer. The first time I bought pads for the front, I received a pair that didn't fit, despite Amazon saying that they would, so I try and let people know if the pads they're looking at will work on their vehicle, if they have the same ones I have. These are rear pads. Not too much trouble to get on. Harder to get the old ones off. I didn't use any type of lube, or it probably would have been easier. After a few hundred miles, they still have a bit of squeak, but that's probably the result of not lubing them up while installing. Seemingly good pads, and doing it myself saved me money, as it usually does. Recommended.

works
Just take the time to load these into the frame BEFORE putting them into the caliper assembly so you know they do actually fit and that any problem installing the loaded caliper was created by you. Sort of a sanity check to avoid frustration. The caliper piston is usually rusty in the half inch of so retaining ring area so a little care there and a little lube on the three spring prongs is helpful. You have no idea how much grief you can experience if you try to force these springs into place without due care.I prefer Amazon's Duralube on a Q tip as it prevents metal to metal contact far better than any other form you might choose.High buck product but really cheap considering what it does. In chain saw bar oil Duralube is amazing as you can do a lot of stupid mistakes like not checking the oil level frequently and the lube will save the chain and bar for a long time after the tank is empty. Mix 1 bottle to 4 qt of oil just like you would in a car.If you get it all right at the same time the loaded caliper with these pads will drop into place with zero effort and the two retaining bolts will also finger slide into place and thread will finger start as well . Any problem, is one you created by not observing those things necessary.

Brakes stop fantastic, just have that fingernail across the chaulk board ...
Brakes stop fantastic, just have that fingernail across the chaulk board squeal sound just before coming to a complete stop. Now I have to take it back apart to put some type of anti-squeal product on them.
