Do the Math!: Challenging, Fun Math Puzzles for Kids

I wanted to share my thoughts on a fantastic math book that I highly recommend for both parents and teachers. Sometimes, math can feel like a foreign concept to kids, but this book really helps them explore mathematical concepts from a more relatable, worldly perspective. The puzzles are incredibly fun and engaging, and while some are quite challenging, my child is always eager to dive in as soon as I open it. It's refreshing to see a book that makes learning math an adventure rather than a chore. It truly makes math enjoyable for both the child and the parent, and I believe it's a valuable resource for anyone looking to make math more accessible and fun.

Excellent Book, my 13yo loves this book!

My 10yo math lover got this for Christmas and the book was finished by today (Feb 6). She absolutely LOVED this book. The problems were challenging, but not impossible. The only thing she's requested is a second volume because she wants more to do!

Good compilation of questions but it lacks answers. I wish it at least had sample questions with answers to guide usability. The questions were similar to 1st graders GT class so it is a good practice book.

My 4th grade gifted class absolutely loves logic puzzles. The problem is, they complete them so very quickly. What I love about this book is the variety of different types of puzzles. Building those critical thinking and problem solving skills is so vital. I especially like that each type of puzzles has scaffolded practice, starting with easier warm-up problems and building to mind-bending ones. I choose 4-5 pages through the book and make a challenge packet for the week. The kids love it! I would say this is ideal for grades 4-6 and potentially higher, depending on the group of kiddos.

Bought this as a gift for my nephew. He thoroughly enjoyed solving the puzzles

When we received our Do the Math book, my 11-year-old jumped right in and started solving puzzles. He enjoyed a sense of accomplishment with each puzzle he solves. It was fun to work through the activities with my 8-year-old and watch her logical thinking grow as she worked through the progressive activities. The authors provide tips and supports through beautifully designed graphics that helped work their way up to more challenging puzzles with confidence. I highly recommend Do the Math! *i received a promotional copy of this book (but it was so great I purchased a second one!)

Challenging Fun And awesome

It is interesting book with variety exercises. It is the best option in which children can learn more. My son likes the math and he fought this book a great alternative to pass the free time.

this book contains many interesting yet challenging puzzles ( well, not all math puzzles, some are more likely to be word puzzles to decode some encryped messages ). My kids love this book and they even begged me to buy another copy so that they don't have to fight for the right to write on the book! This book is suitable for kids 6 to 12. some questions are easy and straightforward, yet some are head-scratching. I highly recommend it
