This is exactly what I wanted in a synthetic brush set. I received this set at a discounted rate in exchange for a fair review. So there has always been a debate between natural and synthetic bristles for makeup brushes. Honestly, I've always preferred well made synthetic brushes because they seem to hold their bristles better. I'm not disappointed in this set at all. For all the handling and testing the bristles since I've received them, I have not had one bristle fall off. Literally. As for the feel, they are very soft. I don't like rough brushes, especially for eyeshadow. The strands on this set are very soft. However you can see in the video they have a textured wave to the shafts. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this, but if I had to guess it would be because it allows the brush to be very soft but also create density to adhere powders. There is a booklet included that tells you exactly what each brush should be used for. All in all, i think it's a great set.
