This guitar is highly playable.
The Epiphone LP arrived and turned out to be the same as described by previously posted positive reviews. An excellent instrument. I was careful to inspect it first because if it was defective I was going to just repack it and ship it back. One of the things that surprised me was how well set up this guitar was. The neck was tensioned up with just a tiny bow in it, the way I like it, and the bridge was near perfect. I checked the adjustments with a Snark tuner to see if the 12th fret was really each string's octave, and did random checks on the rest of the fingerboard to make sure the frets were pitch true. The strings might be just the tiniest bit higher than I personally like, but having said that, it seems to make bends a little easier to grab and hold. It's still easy to bar so I may just leave them there. The body's a lighter than some other LPs. This might make the neck feel a skosh heavier if you play standing up. Depends. My personal preference is to have the neck slightly elevated because it makes it easier for me to reach the bass strings, but most people don't seem to care. For me, it doesn't matter since I don't play in a band any more and do all my playing seated nowadays. I bought this model because I have another one with P90 pups and wanted one with humbuckers. The P90s have a terrific sound on single notes. To my ear, they don't have as good of note separation as humbuckers in chords. I like the P90s for their unique sound, though, and the other guitar is still a keeper. This newest one also has terrific tone. The bridge pickup has a distinctive treble for leads, and the neck pickup has a really mellow sound that seems to go with chords better. The bridge pup was setup higher than the neck pup, I guess to make the volume even, because both pups are equal. I got the ebony model and it's a plain Jane. The finish isn't glossy, and you can see the grain in the body. I don't pay much attention to external cosmetics, but it turns out that I like this look. Glossy finishes show smears and wear more, so this ebony, semi rough finish is kind of nice in that respect. Besides, she might not look like much, but she sure can sing. I love this model but if your tastes go to something a little more flashy you may want to go with the sunburst one. As far as the tuning pegs go, they look like the same ones as on the Epiphone LP with P90s. I was going to replace those with Dan Armstongs but when I took them off the guitar, I found that the dress cover was removable. Underneath that, I discover that the pegs I was having issues with are secured with a screw that was too loose. I tightened those and haven't had tuning problems since. Fret board/strings were a little sticky feeling so I used a soft cloth and Pledge and now it feels just fine. I'll keep this one the way it is for awhile to see if it has tuning peg issues. I'll adjust those if necessary. After I change the strings to a set I usually play, I'll recheck the setup and adjust if it's necessary. Overall, this guitar is comfortable and a joy to play, has an accurate fretboard and great tone.

Beautiful guitar
Don't let the super cheap price fool you, this thing is amazing. Great sound, comfortable to play, and looks gorgeous. The neck feels wonderful, and the string travel is comfortable, which is great since I picked this up and haven't played in years. The pickups are pretty standard base pickups, but they have good sound, and are easily swapped. It has a great adjustable bridge, which is a huge bonus on such a low priced guitar. Definitely worth picking up!

Great guitar for beginners
This is the guitar that I learned on, and the Guitar I will use to teach my children. Upon arrival, there was no damage, and no discernable defects. It's simple enough to start playing out of the box with a quick tune and sounds fine. I wouldn't have ever noticed it's "shortcomings" if I hadn't upgraded to a much higher quality guitar. This is the guitar I will recommend for anyone trying to feel out whether or not they want to become a guitarist.

I thought I might like this guitar
I had been a Fender person for nearly all of my life, but at age 73 and playing again for about 4 years, I thought I might like this guitar. Surprise, it turned out so much better than I thought. Part of it may be with old hands and using a thumb over chords learned 50 years ago, I found it easier to play. I think that was because of the fret board radius. But over all, I love the sound, the resonance and everything about this guitar. Yesterday I installed a Bigsby B5 vibrato and vibramate plate which made the mounting even easier. I like it even better. Yes, and I'm still surprised.Above that, just after receiving this, I experienced an unexpected and overwhelming loss of my loved one, and I find myself picking up this guitar several times a day strangely comforting.

OK BUT
Saw this Guitar on Youtube and it is ok but you will have to do some setup and maybe file some frets the neck is not the greatest I had to touch up the spots with a sharpie on the neck by the nut where there was no finish just made them look black instead of bare wood the neck is probably a 15 inch radius very flat and wide I do not like it at all the finish on the body is full of tiny holes not very smooth I put it in the closet and will probably trade it for something else like a Squire or Yamaha. this is just my thoughts on the one I got maybe there are better ones I don't know I have been playing for 30 years so not my first Guitar but certainly My last on of these.

Amazing sound & Price!!
This guitar is a total steal in my opinion. The pictures don't do it justice. When we pull the guitar out its protective covering, we were blown away by its beautiful look. The sound is perfect, the feel is a dream, overall this is a beautifully made Epiphone. I can't wait to hear the music that will be made with it.

Quality instrument; affordable price.
Well packed, well finished, in working condition, playable out of the box. I did my research on electric guitar options and I don't regret my purchase of a trusted brand, because there are many aspects to consider for a personal choice of an instrument that you will use extensively.
