Setting Up & Running QuickBooks 2014: The Accountant s Guide for Business Owners Paperback – November 1, 2013

I needed a book that explained more of what is going on when I make an entry in QuickBooks. If I add a debit, where is the credit going? This book really helped me understand what is taking place in the background. I'm keeping the books for two small businesses and need to make sure I have things set up right. This book really helped me. It's well worth the price.

The author took the time to explain the concepts and help with locating different ways of completing tasks. This book is most helpful especially from the view of a CPA even though a person does not have to be an accountant to use Quickbooks an accountant's view point helps to ensure correct set up and reporting minimizing errors.

As a new user of QuickBooks, I wanted a step-by-step book that explained both the navigation and the accounting processes and principles.Just received the book and, going through Chapter 2, the text and the screens, icons, and instructions do not match the current copy of the software. The author(s) describe customization functions that aren't there for the icon bar. Looking ahead to other areas of the book - just to be fair - I found similar problems. I also thought the descriptions of accounting principles were puerile and shallow.This book was a waste of my hard-earned money.

This is an excellent book for understanding Quickbooks 2014 and it gives a lot of accounting tips along the way. Excellent.

Would like to see more of the practical use of Quickbooks from an accounting perspective, but for what it is it good for a quick reference manual.
