Love is Love
I choose to give this book 5 🌟 because it good from start to finish. We shouldn't judge someone by the sexual orientation nor the color of their skin. This book was a good read it touch base of love ,pain ,healing and Jennett trying to use her power. In the end it was possible to heal, and love without judgement...Love is Love!! Again a very good job Shonda..

Fine
Pros: Great detail given to sex scenes. Love the title.Cons: The pacing is way too fast. Ground me in one scene before you put me in another. It'll be less jarring when the writer switches from scene to summary if she takes her time. Way too much preaching about societal standards vs. gayness. I also don't want to hear how beautiful they both are every page or two. Show, don't tell. The happening with Kendall came clear out of left field. Don't necessarily buy the ending. Brief flashbacks to the formation of the friendship and high school misadventures are fine but the story doesn't pick up until college. That'd be a much better starting point. Maybe with Kendall being jealous at a party because of Tina and not knowing why.Otherwise, it was fine.

This book did not slip but it did fall into my hands
As a spiritual person I look at every thing from the perspective of spirit. Although this book did contain some erotica it was not as explicit as some of the books I have read about lesbian romance. Throughout this book there was an underlying theme of love, in spite of, and because of. This book really spoke to my heart and was a wonderful illustration of love despite family, social norms, ridicule or shame. At the end of the day there is no force greater than love as love conquers all things.Although the story was fiction it depicted the very real attitudes of those in the gay community who was struggling to come out of the closet and live their lives to the fullest. It also depicts those in the straight community who are unreasonable and are unable to explain why two people cannot express love one to another. The storyline was very riveting and took a few twists and turns that I did not expect. As some other reviewers have pointed out there were some mechanical errors and a typo or two but it did not take away from the essence of what the author was trying to convey. Kudos to Shonda

Don't be intimidated, very good book for realistic population
First of all let me say this, I've read over 60 lesbian/gay books and I am a big supporter but I never write reviews. Why? Well to me ones opinion on a book is like choosing a partner, to each their own but I felt I had to break the trend for this book and defend the author on this. It is a good book with lots of excitement and twists. It's filled with slang, a little new for some readers, but to me makes it better because it's not filled with all the sterotypical corporate lesbian, players, and emotional over loads of some of the other books I have read. These characters are very down to earth. The way the author gives the Point of views is excellent. Please don't be discoraged by some peoples inability to think outside the box and the belief urban lesbianism doe not exist, although I love my Georgia Beers and radclyffe's I like the change of pace. It's a very good read.

Great book
I loved this book and couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I read the plot and thought this story was pretty basic and boy was I wrong. This book was a great journey and was so realistic. This is a must read and I am happy I found it.

This was my first time reading a book like this
I didn’t know what to expect fully but I was surprised and disappointedIt was a short book and it felt rushed at times, which made some of the writing seem subpar but the story was sweet.Everyone loves a good love story, especially one where the two find each other againI wasn’t expecting the tragedy and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it being added, it felt a little randomOverall it was pretty, not great but not bad.

A great read
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end, wishing it was a continuation! I love how the book had a lot of take home wisdom despite being fictional.

I too slipped... and fell in love with this story!
Not only am I an avid reader, I too am a writer who will be publishing some of my own handy work that I would be honored to find standing alongside this awesome read. As a writer, I tend to be very critical of other writers work and find myself sometimes consumed with what I would do differently than the actual story but I was hooked from the first few paragraphs and I haven't put it down. I'm not even done (a girl has to sleep sometime) but I'm in love with the characters and I can't wait to see what becomes of them. I love the Jerome Dickey-esk (Cream in My Coffee) narrative that allows each character to tell their side of the same story. I've never written in that style, but I think it was well done... Kudos to you Shonda, I can't wait to see what more you have in store for us!

Took my breath away!!!
This is a must read for all you romantics, who love a great story!!! This is the only book I have read from this author and could not put it down! It's a story of two opposites, who get thrown together by chance and build a beautiful friendship which develop into more. Like most relationships; it has its ups and downs... but does true love ever really fade? This book at times, had me gasping for breath. If you want a good love story that touches your heart, READ this.
