I bought these for use near shrubs and newly planted trees to deep water the root zone. These are perfect! Just connect them to the poly drip line and and adjust the dial on top. These are adjustable from zero flow to a heavy soak. I love the fact that they are on stakes allowing them to easily be positioned near the root zone without splashing water on the foliage. + Inexpensive + Includes Connector + Variable Flow Rates + Stake Into Position + Consistent Flow _Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend these to a friend. The amount of water these put out in a short amount of time is great for deep watering plants to encourage deep root development. They can also be adjusted back to a much slower flow for plants that do not require the deep watering. I am amazed at the volume of water they put out without spraying all over the place. I am buying more for sure! Easy 5 Stars.

I ordered this to expend my drip system to my garden. The system works fine and as expected. You will need to adjust the flow rate for your watering needs. This can be done by twisting the top as needed. As noted, the water flow is a bubbler (NOT a mist).
