Get Ready for School: Second Grade

I really wanted to like this book. It covers pretty much everything in one book. Unfortunately it has spelling mistakes, missing text instructions and the spaces for the child to write in are too small for the information requested. There are other book options that are better presented. For a book that claims to be 'teacher approved' I expected better.

My son attends a good school here in Brooklyn, NY, but he has not learned half the things I saw in this book. I felt a bit angry and annoyed about that, which has me looking for a new school. My point is, this book is amazing! It has everything in here I didn’t even think of. He has learned so much that I’m ordering a second one for him to do it again and learn from. The only disappointing part is that there are no other activity book after 2nd grade. I would order them all if they had anything after the 2nd grade. It’s a great workbook for the price.

I have used Get Ready for 1st and Get Ready for 2nd for homeschooling. I love the activities, the imagery and colors. They are very expansive and it's great for pairing with other curriculum supplements. Helps make sure you are covering all the topics typical of the grade level. I love these books.

Purchased for the summer break to avoid "summer slide" and prepare our son for 2nd grade. He enjoyed this book and i felt i was age/grade appropriate. Felt confident he would be ready for the new school year.

I love this educational notebook for my daughter. We had one for get ready for school Kindergarten and it was most helpful. It really prepared my daughter on what she would be learning during the school year and among other things. When I saw this for this grade level, I had to immediately purchase it so she can be prepared for next school year. I will continue to buy these types of educational books to help her on her educational journey.

My son loved this book! I bought it thinking it would last all summer but he enjoyed it so much he breezed through it in about 4 weeks (working on it about a half hour a day). I will purchase these again next summer for the next grade. I also love that they are spiral bound - no frustration keeping the book open.

Purchased to keep my child learning over the summer. The activities have been perfect so far. I can tell she is learning new stuff while also applying what she already learned.

My 7 yr. old pointed out a few spelling/grammar mistakes in the book.For the most part it was good for summer work.
