Q: Will this work on rough surfaces? (non smooth shower wall)

The wall channels successful adhesion is based on being placed on a smooth clean dried surface. They will not adhere to a rough surface unless that surface is built up to a flat surface.

Q: Where do I get the shower curtain with the place for the tube to slide into

I never installed mine. I did hang the tube up, but I got another gadget that made this one unnecessary. But I believe you use your existing shower curtain and wrap it around the tube and stick it in the rigid tunnel pieces you place on the wall.

Q: is this removable if not placed correctly?

If the wall channels were not placed correctly or if you are moving, you can remove the wall channels by getting under the adhesive with a butter knife and lifting. You may have to clean off any remaining adhesive left on the wall with rubbing alcohol. If you have problems with getting the channels to re attach to the shower wall again, go to you local hardware store and purchase some 1/2" inch wide double sided adhesive tape to apply to the back on the channels.
