pleasantly surprised
When I opened the box and saw the size of the Quick Release, I thought, "There is no way this will hold my big Minn Kota trolling motor on this boat." However, I was pleasantly surprised! I needed to add a plate on the underside of my fiberglass to keep the nuts locked down, but the item does a tremendous job. I trailer my boat and park in a boat storage area. I can't afford to leave my $2000 Minn Kota on my boat. It only takes me 30 seconds to take it out of the bed of my truck and set it on the boat or to take it off and put it back in my truck. BTW the Minn Kota Ultra trolling motor is the most awesome trolling motor ever!
